Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr Sagunthala R and D Institute of Science and Technology (Vel Tech) facilities and infrastructure is one of the important technical institutions of learning in Tamil Nadu. Located in a metropolis like Chennai, Vel Tech recognises the need to provide academic and other supportive infrastructure for students in pursuit of academic excellence. Some of the important Vel Tech Chennai facilities range from hostel accommodations, canteen, medical care, transport, gym, and clubs, etc. Some quality academic infrastructure imperative for learning includes well-furnished and spacious classrooms, a well-equipped library with books and journals, and research centres with 80 laboratories.

Boys Hostel
Vel Tech campus provides hostel for boys to accommodate the students of the institute in the most comfortable and conducive manner. The hostel provides the students with a pleasant ambience much like a home away from home. Hostel has its own mess with latest equipment which is managed and run by the cooks appointed by the University, keeping in mind the different tastes of the students with healthy and tasty food. Hostel has uninterrupted electricity, Wi-Fi, recreation hall, medical facilities, shops for basic needs, gymnasium, outdoor and indoor games etc.
Girls Hostel

Medical/Hospital
The medical facility in the institute has a 100 member bed capacity with doctors working 24/7 with additional paramedical support. There are first aid centres, hot water facilities, and reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment plant. The medical facilities in Vel Tech also include yoga and physiotherapy centre.
Gym
The Department of Physical Education, with its associated staff members, provide a well-equipped gym facility in every hostel.
Library
The library is well-equipped with a good repository of books, journals and academic services, including digital tools for student references and research. It is spread across 2500 sq.m with four blocks and has a collection of 99,200 books, 40,000 E-books, 20,118 journals, and access to SCOPUS. Some of the E-Resources available are Scopus-ELSEVIER, ProQuest, IEEE, ASCE, ASME and DELNET etc.
Sports
Vel Tech provides both indoor and outdoor sports facilities for the holistic development of students during their academic life. The facility is planned and administered by the Department of Physical Education and Sports. The sports range from chess, athletics, volleyball, cricket, kabaddi, athletics etc.
I.T Infrastructure
Vel Tech Campus has excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Cafeteria
The institute has a canteen facility for students and staff members that offers a variety of cuisines prepared under hygienic conditions.

Very clean and hygiene campus and the infrastructure also good they have water facility for every classroom, the classrooms also completely wooden furnished with wifi,smart board and projector also there

College Infrastructure

College is completely under CCTV and coming to the infrastructure it was very nice ,classrooms is is having smart board as well as WIFI connection( students can use it ), fully wooden furnished classrooms in the whole campus

I join this college as student and came out with multitasker

Hi there,

Hostels and pg have been a place for most students who live in other cities for education and word purposes.

There's structure varies from pg and hostel because pg are comparatively cheap and has better facilities as compared to hostels.

Hello,

Yes, Vel tech University is good for CSE. Around 70% of students are placed in good companies like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, etc. it offers various internships and some are paid too. The highest package offered is 12LPA and the average is 3-5LPA.

The campus, academic, and faculty members are also good.
