I am studying biomedical engineering because it combines engineering principles with medical science to develop technologies that Improve healthcare and saves lives. The course offers opportunities to work with medical devices, diagnosis equipment and innovative healthcare solutions
College Infra
The college infrastructure is good and provides most of the facilities required for a comfortable learning environment.the classrooms are spacious, clean , and equipped with basic teaching aids laboratory are well-maintained and contain the necessary equipment for practical sessions
Campus Life
Our college campus provides a pleasant student-friendly environment with a good infrastructure and greenery. One of the best features of the campus is its well-maintained classrooms, laboratory, library and sports facilities,which support both academic and extracurricular activities
Placements
The quality of placements at our college is satisfying.placement opportunities are available for students from various branches although the number of companies visiting for biomedical engineering students is comparatively limited
Value For Money
The total fee for biomedical engineering course is approximately ₹2lakhs per year. While the fee structure is relatively high , I feel that i am receiving reasonable value for the money spent

Academics
I'm pursuing ECE course here ,ECE is not exactly easy, so things can get a bit heavy at times. Subjects like basic electronics, signals, and maths need regular attention, otherwise it piles up quickly. Teaching is fine—some faculty explain really well, while others you’ll have to manage on your own with YouTube or notes. There are internals, lab records, and assignments almost all the time, so you can’t fully relax. If you stay a bit consistent, it’s manageable, but last-minute prep can be risky here.
College Infra
Campus is pretty decent and has all the basic stuff sorted. ECE labs are actually useful, not just for namesake—there are setups for circuits, communication systems, and some mini project work too. Classrooms are normal with projectors, nothing too fancy but gets the job done. There are chill spots around campus where you can sit during breaks, and the canteen options are okay-ish. Wi-Fi is there, but sometimes speed depends on the crowd. Overall, it’s not luxury-level, but comfortable enough for daily college life
Placements
Placements are okay, but for ECE, a lot of students end up going into IT roles. Core ECE companies do come, but they are fewer compared to software companies. Mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys are common, so getting placed is possible if you prepare basics well. For better roles, you’ll need extra skills like coding, internships, or certifications. So yeah, college gives opportunities, but you have to put in your own effort to get something really good.

Exams are considered moderately difficult but manageable if concepts are understood regularly. The curriculum is updated to match industry needs, which helps in building a strong base from the first year itself
College Infra
The campus at Vel Tech is quite well-developed with modern academic blocks and essential student facilities. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart learning tools, and labs are designed to support practical understanding, especially for engineering streams. The central library is large, with 80,000+ books and access to digital resources like IEEE and NPTEL, which is useful for studies . There are also sports grounds, gym facilities, and common areas for relaxation. For a day scholar, spending time between classes is comfortable, although some areas may feel crowded during peak hours.
Placements
Placements at Vel Tech show decent performance, especially for core branches like CSE. Around 80–90% of students get placed in many courses, with average packages usually around ₹4–7 LPA and top packages going up to ₹40+ LPA in some cases . Hostels and pg have been a place for most students who live in other cities for education and word purposes.
There's structure varies from pg and hostel because pg are comparatively cheap and has better facilities as compared to hostels.
