Hi ,

Well Placements in VIT is very good especially for CSE branch. To compare, it would be in par with older NITs for CSE Branch. If we compare with BITs then it is lower than that. And Yes, VIT has better placements than IIITs and Newer NITs. If you take private University, then only BITS has better placements record than VIT.

Thanks!!!

Hi,
Placements are quite good in vit vellore and if you are a good student then there are more chances that you may get a placement in a good firm.
A total of 81 students from the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) got selected on day one of campus placements and have been offered pay packages of 25 lakh and above per year. Placements began on July 15 for the 2022 graduating batch.
Top companies and start-ups, including Microsoft, Dyte, Amazon, PayPal, Morgan Stanley, Udaan and WorkIndia came in for the campus placements.
Hope it helps....

Hi aspirant,

I can give you a list of reasons behind joining Vellore institute of technology after any IIT,NIT'S or BITS(Surely these overshadow VIT and are better):

  • Highest ranked private engineering college
  • NAAC++ Accreditation and AICTE approved
  • Fully flexible credit system which allows you to choose courses, faculties and timings
  • One of the best placement cells
  • Multiple job opportunities with more than 400 companies visiting the campus
  • Unmatched infrastructure and facilities
  • Well updated curriculum with best faculties for each subject
  • Program migration system
  • Placement starts from day 1 of fourth year

Hope it helps!!

VIT is good but its not like IIT KGP because the alumni IIT KGP have is considerably large. The placement scenario for most of the trades are very good. Apart from this the exposure in terms of research, academics provided by an IIT can't be compared to any other college. Apart from this the faculties you will get in IIT KGP are the best of the researchers in India so the experience you will get is incomparable to VIT.

So both the institute is great but it can't be claimed that VIT is better than IIT KGP.

I hope this helps.

Hi aspirant,

It is good to hear that you wish to be part of the best private engineering college in the country. The course you have mentioned has the highest demand and to get it by first category you need to work extremely hard as the competition is high. Here are some of the tips and suggestions you can follow to succeed in VITEEE:

  • For chemistry section leave all the books aside and read NCERT thoroughly, about 75 percent of it is covered by organic and inorganic section.
  • The mathematics part is difficult from board's but if you have prepared for JEE, it should be a calkwalk so keep practicing past year questions from VITEEE and try to raise difficulty level day by day.
  • For physics you can blindly follow DC Pandey or HC Verma but rather than focusing on difficult chapters try to cover entire syllabus as the questions from some chapters are very easy and generally this mistake is made by many.
  • Build option elimination skills as there is no negative marking and you can't devote more time to a single question.
  • While studying, the candidates are advised to make small notes so that they can revise through it anytime, anywhere. This will allow the candidates to strengthen their preparation by constantly checking their notes whenever they have a doubt.

Hello aspirant

hope you are doing great. As per your query  I would glad to tell you that persuing from VIT in cse stream will be a better option . VIt holds 28 rank in nirf ranking . The brand of VIT is very famous in every state of india which increases alumni network . Infrastructure of the campus is very well organized with well developed buildings . Placement scenario is also very good , around 80 percents students get placed with an average package of 7 lakhs and highest went upto  41 lakhs

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future

Hello Aspirant,

VIT is one of the top private colleges in India. As mentioned in VIT Website, MTech in Construction and Management belongs to School of Civil Engineering. Now a days placement scenario is not that good when you compare it  with CSE,IT. Although that doesn't mean that Civil Engineering Student don't get placements. If you are getting any other branch like CSE,EEE,IT than I would advise you to go for that. But if you want to learn in the field of Civil Engineering than you should go with it.

Hello Aspirant,

Both VIT Vellore and PES, are good institutes to be in. However, in terms of placements and educational facilities, VIT Vellore takes the lead. So comparing the two colleges, you should opt for VIT Vellore.

However, more important than college selection is selection of your engineering branch. If you feel motivated by CSE then, always go for CSE in whichever college you're getting it because that will be beneficial for you in the long run. However, if you don't have any such preference, then you might want to choose VIT Vellore over PES.

Hope this helps.

Hi aspirant,

The seat allotment process for integrated Mtech program has started and you will need to lock your preferences by a due date. You have quite a descent rank and get a seat in either of the three programs under category 2 or 3 only.

However, Chennai campus has lower cutoffs and you can get the desired seat lower fee category as well.

Hope it helps!!
