Hi Anirudh. Though CCE ( communication and computer engineering ) branch is more demanding than EEE, VIT Vellore is much more reputed than Amrita Coimbatore. Moreover the placement of EEE at VIT Vellore is better than that of CCE at Amrita Coimbatore. Despite being from EEE branch you will be allowed to sit for CSE core companies placement provided you have a good CGPA. So in my opinion you should go for EEE at VIT Vellore

Hi Akhil. As VIT Vellore does not take a separate exam or interview for getting admitted into the BTECH+MTECH integrated course and the admission is based on the 12th percentage, the chances of getting into VIT Vellore for this course is high as 93.8% is pretty good.

I would say VIT Chennai is better because it has the brand name of VIT so you will get more exposure as the students in VIT Chennai are from all parts of Indian including foreign statements. Also campus placements take place in Vellore campus and a lot of companies come to recruit with exceptionally good packages.

Yes, VIT Vellore accepts JEE score. I think you should check the dates, but i don't think the admission is still open there out. You may go through the official sites to know more.

Yes you can get in VIT as you will be considered of TN domicile as well but some criterias need to be fulfilled.

Stars scheme is a appreciative campaign by VIT management that aims to provide poor, deprived and meritorious students from rural areas of Tamilnadu to study and grow at one of the top colleges in India. VIT Management Stands tall as it takes these children in its fold through the STARS scheme (SUPPORT THE ADVANCEMENT OF RURAL STUDENTS). Financially disadvantaged children don’t have to stop dreaming of becoming an Engineer. VIT STARS Scheme helps these students from under privileged background to achieve what they deserve by giving them 100% fee waiver for their academic and hostel facilities including basic medical expenses.

To be eligible for this program the annual income of family needs to be less than 1.5 lacs.  The procedure is as follows:

• Top Ten boys and girls from Rural Government schools are shortlisted for the scheme (Government Schools located under Corporation, Municipality, Town panchayat limits are not eligible).
• Such identified District toppers will be called for an interview based on marks secured in their Higher Secondary examination. Among them, one male and one female student will be admitted, after the results are published.
• Final admissions to STARS scheme will be decided by the VIT Management

Both the colleges you have mentioned are undoubtedly renowned colleges but the placement opportunities offered by VIT Vellore is far more than DU. More than 700 companies come to VIT for offering placement so students get to sit for numerous companies. The average salary offered is around INR 8 to 10 LPA & the highest salary offered can be more than INR 30 LPA & there are many foreign company offering placement opportunities. In DU, the companies coming here are limited & the average salary offered is around INR 6 LPA. The highest salary offered is around INR 42 LPA from companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and a lot more.

VIT Vellore has excellent infrastructure spread over 372 acres. The food is great & the classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned & airy. The library is well maintained, the labs are well-equipped. The hostel facility is amazing for both girls & boys while in DU, the hostel facility is really bad & the food is worse. The classrooms & labs are average.

The faculty members in VIT are very strict. They are knowledgeable & experienced but can be a little unapproachable. While in DU, the teachers are not helpful & apparently can take a toll on students. The educational curriculum is also not something previous students are satisfied with so see for yourself what you want to choose.

These are the few points you need to consider before choosing any college so read the answer & decide wisely.

Vellore Institute of Technology is a private deemed university located in Vellore, India. Vellore Engineering College, the institution offers 64 Undergraduate, 35 Postgraduate, 16 Integrated, 2 Research and 2 M.Tech Industrial Programmes.

Mechanical Engineering Almost all the faculty members are PhD holders or are in the process of obtaining their PhD. Most of the faculty members are helpful and highly knowledgeable.Academic facilities and infrastructure are excellent here. It provides Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms and a library.

Placements The mechanical department has average placement record. Many students choose to sit for GATE and/or GRE exams and others opt for placements in the private sector. The highest package in core industry sector ranges from 9-12 LPA. Those you plan for IT sector jobs despite the mechanical degree (analyst role) fetch around 5-6 LPA.

NIT Trichy is a government-run institution for higher education and advanced research, mainly in engineering and technology. your rank should be below 800 at maximum if youre looking for a seat in CSE, top colleges of karnataka! these colleges are the pride of karnataka and are elite when it comes to education. they rank higher than many of the NITs themselves. While VIT may provide you with a holistic experience, VITs placements are bad when compared to these colleges. moreover, VIT category 3 will become very expensive! always better to go through comedk
