Hi aspirant,
Predicting the required scores for the VITEEE is quite difficult as every year it differs due to change in pattern, difficulty level of questions and number of candidates. But yes I can give you overview for the closing ranks and cutoffs.
The Vellore campus is the main campus and one can expect a CSE seat including specializations till 17-20k ranks but the fee structure shoots up with increase in ranks. That means for lower rank the seat will fall in category 1 while close to end ranks same will be available in category 5.
For Chennai campus there are some relaxations, where you can expect a CSE seat including specializations till 30k rank but the same fee structure will be applicable.
In the recent years Vellore institute of technology has not officially released it's cutoff ranks but the previous year trends can be found at https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-cutoff
Hope it helps!!
Hi aspirant,
At first you can't compare VIT to other colleges like Amity. You didn't mentioned the year he got placed, times have changed and the placements at VIT for CSE are unmatched with exception of BITS. Vellore institute of technology ranks 15 in the nirf engineering rankings and one can't get such high ranks until it excells in each domain.
Vellore institute of technology, Vellore has an average package between 7-8 lacs currently for CSE that will definitely touch 9+ by end of four years. Last year some the top companies hiered 120+ engineering graduates with super dream packages like Microsoft 44,00,000 AppDynamics 39,20,000 D.E.SHAW 35,25,000 UDAAN 35,00,000 WorkIndia 35,00,000 Cloudera 31,33,000 Amazon 29,50,000 Motorq 26,00,000 Morgan Stanley 25,30,000 PayPal 23,80,000 WellsFargoEGS India 20,00,000.
Even the biggest mass recruiter Wipro had an average package 6.5 lacs. So your conception is not true and it is the labour you put which decides the package you will grab.
Hope it helps!!
Hello aspirant
hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query, I would glad aware you that in private universities specially in msc courses , seats are very large in number and number of applicants are very less , so they are always vacant seats in these MSC course . So they dont disclose officially information about these courses for seats . You dont need to worry , you will get admission for sure
Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future
Hello Aspirant,
It depends on you. If you are getting CSE or IT branch then you should go for that. If you want to Study computer science related stuff, then you can take Mtech Integrated CSE with Data Science. Placement for CSE branch is good in VIT, and Data Science also has a lot of prospect in future. Although Mtech Integrated in VIT is costly but it is definitely worth it as VIT is among the top private colleges in India.
Thanks!!!
Hello aspirant
Hope you are doing great there . I am really very to say this but with this percentage you can not get a seat in CSE in JIIT , Noida because the cut off for cse in JIIT is 97% for cse . Coming to your next question cse at VIT, Vellore is much better than CSE at JIIT . This statement has been made comparing the campus and placements . In both campus and placements VIT Vellore is better than JIIT Noida.

I hope you got your answer
Wish you all the very best!
Yes, RVCE, BMSCE and MSRIT must be preferred over VIT Vellore CSE, if you have a choice. Firstly, the Colleges in Bangalore have a huge locational advantage being located near IT and Technology Hubs of Karnataka as well as Top Research Destinations like IISc Bangalore and IIIT Bangalore. This provides huge scope and impetus to training and placements. Secondly, Taking CSE in Category 3 at VIT is really very expensive in terms of tuition fee, even if you get ISE, IT, ECE or CSE, at Either of the Top Engineering Colleges in Bangalore, thats preferred besides they having small sized batches, good infrastructure and strong placements.

Hello Aspirant,
Arch admission at VIT is done on the basis of NATA scores. To calculate the NATA cutoff, your board percentage is added to the half of your NATA score. A NATA cutoff of 142 out of 200 is a very good score. You can definitely try for a merit seat in your state counselling.
You have got a low score in NATA examination but if you have got a good score in your 12th standard examination, you can try in VIT for admission although it's difficult.

Hi aspirant,
Stars scheme is a appreciative campaign by VIT management that aims to provide poor, deprived and meritorious students from rural areas of Tamilnadu to study and grow at one of the top colleges in India. VIT Management Stands tall as it takes these children in its fold through the STARS scheme (SUPPORT THE ADVANCEMENT OF RURAL STUDENTS). Financially disadvantaged children don’t have to stop dreaming of becoming an Engineer. VIT STARS Scheme helps these students from under privileged background to achieve what they deserve by giving them 100% fee waiver for their academic and hostel facilities including basic medical expenses.
To be eligible for this program the annual income of family needs to be less than 1.5 lacs. The procedure is as follows:

The infrastructure of our college is excellent with a big campus for the students to explore. Hostel facilities and canteen is really good but the food should be more hygienically made with care. It also has well designed gyms, sports area, libraries and laboratories.
Academic buildings are good, classrooms are large to accomodate lots of students, labs are ac and well equipped. Hostel facilities are good ranging from 1-6 bed ac/non-ac rooms with wifi service. Mess food is decent with good variety. Laundry and transport services are available on campus. Sports facilities, gym, library, etc are available.
VIT Vellore’s M.Tech Biotech has awesome infrastructure. Labs got latest equipment like PCR, bioreactors, makes practicals smooth. Library huge, tons of books, fast wifi. AC classrooms with smart boards. Hostels clean, but summer water shortage. Mess food okay, sports ground big.
