See, all the colleges that you have mentioned are top notch private institutions. If you talk about rankings and placements, Vellore institute of technology will edge the other two. The faculties at PES, Bengaluru are knowned for providing indepth information about the subjects and will help you develop individually. RVCE is known for its long legacy and brilliant packages offered by the global leading companies. The fee for all of them are similar (3-4 lacs per annum) unless you get the first category at VIT. The preference order should be as follows:

1. VIT (first or second category)
2. RVCE
3. PES
4. VIT (remaining categories)

Both the courses you have mentioned comes under core category that is known for its amazing packages and offers. The placement records for information technology is almost at par with CSE as students from both the branches sit together for placements. ECE itself has good placements with more than 500 dream offers last year, moreover you will be allowed to sit in joint placements with the branches mentioned above. The average package for IT is close to 6.5lacs per annum while around 6lpa for ECE. From my suggestion and experience, if you are getting any of these courses till third category, definitely go for it.

VIT Bhopal offers an average salary of around 7.5 LPA while Amrita provides around 6 LPA & KIIT is around 5 LPA. The highest package provided in VIT is around 42 LPA while in Amrita, it is 42 LPA & KIIT is around 30 LPA.

Amrita & VIT provided 90% placements in the past year while KIIT also placed around 80% of its students but the average salary was around 3 LPA.

Overall, I think VIT would be a wise choice but Amrita & KIIT are not that far behind.

According to careers360 VIT Vellore got 4.3 rating out of 5. And placement rating as 4.1 out of 5. In 2019-20, VIT took more than 700 companies to the placement campus. Previous year to that, the highest CTC offered by Microsoft was 41.6.

According to career360 Amrita university got 4.2 rating out of 5.And placement rating as 4 out of 5.

In college wise both are good in placement result and infrastructure. But comparing course ECE is bit tougher than CSE. ECE student has the advantage to work in both core (ECE) companies as well as IT firms but when it comes to salary packages CSE students are paid a bit more than  .

However the courses selection is purely based on your interest. You can make your choice based on your field of interest.

See if you are in top NIT's like NIT WARANGAL, TRICHY etc then yeah! the scope you will get in lower branches like Industrial Engineering etc, can be better than the average packages offered in SRM/VIT.

But if you want to say in a broader aspect then firstly you should focus on the subject matter. See there are no so called lower and upper, every branch have its own advantage or disadvantage. But in subjects like CSE/IT the employability is much higher than other branches as the user base is growing every day. Thus I would say if you can go for CSE it would be the best, that is in any college or university. And frankly speaking if you go for VIT then if you are a good student then you will be able to get a job package much greater than you expect in so called lower branches of NIT's.

Now everything is dependent on your thought and if you agree with my facts then only go for it else choose your own best possible path decided by you.

At first congratulations on your new journey at Vellore Institute of technology. As per the guidelines of the institution, the classes for the freshers batch 2021 will commence from 2nd August in online mode. The login credentials and other details for the same would be sent to you on your registered email id 2-3 days before the mentioned date, as the counselling process for VITEEE has not completed yet and the college is also waiting for the release of 12th board results.

VIT is something like a brand and if you are getting CSE in any campus of VIT then definitely you should have choose  that. As everyone know that the SRM NCR campus is comes at the position 4 among all those campus, so here you can directly estimate that SRM would not provide that facility which VIT can do.

In SRM you need to sit in the campus placement with the student of every campus so there will be high competition among the students for one seat but in VIT they have their own criteria for the campus drive. VIT bhopal is growing rapidly but SRM is still at the same place.

I would suggest you to go with the VIT but the decision is totally up to you.

Dear Student,

If you want the refund after the completion of the counselling process the you won't get that, you need to withdraw your seat from the counselling if you have got any seat then only they will refund your counselling fee after some deduction.

And if you have submitted the fee of the course and then want a refund then you need to withdraw your seat before the commencement of the classes they will refund you your whole fee after deducting 11,800.

And if you will not fulfill the eligibility criteria ( Either fail or less than 60% in PCM / PCB ) then they will refund entire fee after deducting 1,180

If you withdraw your seat within 25 days from the commencement of class then they will refund you the entire academic fee by deducting the 10% of the total fee.

Yes, Vellore institute of technology allows seat migration for the students of different programs. The option is available at the end of first and second semesters. The intake through migrations is 2 percent of the total strength in that particular branch. You need to maintain a cgpa score of at least 8.7-9 for upgradation to cse due to high demands in the college. The Migration charges differ each year but is close to rupees 10000.
