Yes, you may mechanical branch with your in Viteee Vellore but the chances of getting in the first category are not possible as the average cutoff is around 19500 which means a border to your score. It could be the second or even third category you will get in the mechanical branch in Viteee. As the cutoff varies every year may this year your rank you may get in category 2 but chances are less for category 1.If you are for only category one then choose other branches or go for Vit Chennai.

The VIT vellore which is also the main campus is considered as number one VIT among others so it automatically makes the demand high for it as all the students try their level best to get into the main campus and specially for the CSE branch only due to its craze among the students. So seeing at your rank it is very difficult to say that you can get it because for main campus the marks are quite high and your rank should be atleast under 10k so that you can have little chance but surely their are many more VIT’s in which you can definitely try like Chennai, Bhopal and many more.

Yes you can get some good and at par colleges in comparison to Vellore institute of technology in terms of placements and lower fee. You can choose to appear for examinations such as MHCET, WBJEE, TNEA counselling which is accepted by a large number of colleges in their respective states.

You can also apply directly for college entrance exams like AEEE, KIITEE, MET, SNUEEE and many more.

There are tough chances with the rank what you've secured....As CSE has a big trend..You have to secure a minimum of 20k or even 25k is considerable..So I think that is not that easy to get cse in vit amaravathi..

So VIT Bhopal is a good college but it is quite inexpensive as compared to Banasthali. The placements at  VIT Bhopal are very good,the average packages are of about 8LPA and the maximum package os 41LPA, where as Banasthali doesn't have good placements as compared to VIT. Thea teaching staff is equally good at both the universities.

So now it is upto you,if yiu want to go to VIT Bhopal or banasthali.
