Msc Integrated Biotechnology in VIT is quite good.The placement scenario is quite good there.More than 75 percentage of students get placed here and also in renowned companies of Biotechnology in India.The starting salary may differ from Rs. 40,000 per month to Rs. 20,000 per month based on your efficiency in both subject and fieldwork. The college also provides good internships as a referral. HCL and Infosys also provide job opportunities. Faculties are average here with some being good and bad.But the college will provide you a smooth journey and campus life.

I hope you are doing good.  As per your query , I would glad to compare these colleges according to my opnion and experience . Brand name is amritha is very high according to VIT vellore campus , its scored 66 and ranked 4th nirf ranking whereas vit scored 58 in nirf ranking . VIT is much much expensive than amritha, so their is affordabilty issues you can get . Infrastructure of amritha is slightly good than VIT but campus of both universities is very good location of india. If we talk about placements, Both the universities have same placement scenario which is 90 percent. So according to me vit is better

Considering the ranking of both the colleges in terms of engineering, Amrita was ranked 15 all over India, and VIT secured 17 rank all over India. Placements in Amrita University are really very good .

Both are good at their own aspects.Both university have some advantages and disadvantages.You will get more better campus life at SRM when compared to VIT.

VIT rules and regulations are very strict.Placement and Academics wise ,more or less both are same.It depnds what you want.Overall both the University are good.

The Integrated M.Sc. Biotechnology programme is a 5 year integrated course offered in VIT Vellore, TN & VIT Bhopal campuses only. realistic constraints suitable for the present need through the use of modern tools. VIT, a better place to learn and grow if you utilize the facilities properly in the university. Placements: VIT has very good placements but the problem is you get jobs mostly in the IT sector. If you want to get a job in the stream you have studied then, you should be probably among the top 10 students in your class.

Major fields where biotechnology students work as professionals are Agricultural, Medicine and health care, Industries trial research, Environment Research and development, and animal husbandry, etc. Candidates having a Master's degree in BioSciences can get a job in corporate and government sectors.

SRM:

Master of Science (M.Sc.) – Biotechnology. It is a Post Graduate biotechnology course. It aims at training for interested students in the field of Molecular Biology, and they are Applied for Microbiology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Bioprocess Technology.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in M.Sc Biotechnology is as follows: The candidate must hold a B.Sc degree in Biotechnology/ Biology/ food science/ Microbiology/Nursing or B. Pharma/ BPT/BMIT. Minimum percentage in qualifying examination should be 55%..

To get admission in VIT buisness school, vellore, you need to give MAT as they take admission through MAT,

And if you are a general candidate you need to have more than 80 percentile score, if you secure more than 80 percentile, you can get any branch in MBA in VIT,as the cutoff for all the streams in MBA is same.

BTech degree in any sense is far better than the Bsc-Msc degree. The BTech degree design and shape you for practical approach as it is more technology oriented course. You can also apply to other field if you want because of your BTech degree.

On the other hand the Bsc-Msc degree is more research oriented and makes you eligible for science researchers.

If you feel like investing your time in research related stuff you can go for this course. But if you want to try other options also I will suggest you to go for BTech degree.

Now coming to the college both the university are private and pretty good to take. You can anyone university as both are considered to a student hub in terms of private university list.

see in vit or srm university it is not mandatory to remain in college hostel, students whose resident are nearby college or has separately taken mess other than college hostel are no issue for admission or studying purpose. however if you have the capability to rent a apartment then you can surely go for it.

Vellore Institute of Technology have costly institute but it's a very good institute. You didn't mentioned above for which course you want to join bachalor or master's.

• Here if you join as a category A normal students for UG degree then your fee will be 1,73,000 per annum tution fees + 3000 caution money which is refundable. Total fee will be 1,76,000 per annum.
• If you join as a category B normal students in UG degree then your tuition fees will be 1,92,000 per annum tution fees+ 3000 caution money which is refundable. Total fee will be 1,95,000 per annum.
• If you are in tution fee waiver category student then you have to pay 96000 per annum for tution fee only.

see the both of the institute you have mentioned is excellent in terms of infrastructure, placement , faculty students ration, industry collaboration and so on. but the courses are bit different, first of all you have to understand the difference of course structure of genetic engineering and biotechnology. Biotechnology is a field of modern biology or life science that uses biological  organisms and biological systems to create r new organisms or useful products. Modern biotechnology includes the tools of genetic engineering, genetic engineering is essential part of biotechnology, but for research or job trends biotechnology has better scope then genetic engineering.

so I would prefer  for integrated biotechnology course in vit university.
