It is not like that.Obviously you need to maintain a decent GPA to sit in good companies but besides that the college provides excellent placements in CSE branch.Since the college maintains decent placements with good package there wouldn't be any problem of getting a job or getting placed.Companies like Google,AWS,Microsoft,paypal comes for placement.

Viteee VELLORE actually never releases it's cutoff. But as per some references, the cutoff rank for CSE lies close to around 5,000 - 7,000 rank. Having said this, cutoffs keep fluctuating from year to year as they depend on various factors like number of candidates appearing and also the paper level difficulty, etc.

The CSE fees in VIT is roughly around 1,76,000. The fees might vary a bit from year to year. The hostel fees is close to 50,000 per annum which includes 5 times meal servings and a room to be shared between 3 boys.

Ece at vit vellore hs really good. We can judge a particular branch of a college by its placements in the previous years. More than 90% of the students  were placed in the year 2020 from ece. The highest salary package offered was 39 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.7 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Samsung, Deloitte, KPIT, DXC, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Microsoft, EY, PWC, JPMorgan, Barclays, HPI and HPE. Hence ece has really good placements at vit vellore.

Due to the Pandemic the VITEEE 2020 was cancelled and the admission of students were based on Class 12/pre-university marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology for BTech. If at all the VITEEE 2021 is cancelled then like this year next year too admissions will be based on your 10+2 level. For now there is no information regarding the cancellation of VITEEE 2021.  VIT Vellore has released the application form of VITEEE 2021. Only online VITEEE form 2021 is available candidates should visit official VIT website, viteee.vit.ac.in to fill the VITEEE 2021 application form. The last date to submit the VITEEE application form 2021 is March 30.  The exam authority may release the offline VIT application form 2021 in January 2021.

Both colleges has good infrastructure facilities and supportive faculty members who are masters in their subjects.

As per the reviews and information, it is worth to join CSE at PICT, Pune as it one of the top private college in Pune for CSE branch specially. Also, CSE a wide scope than ECE in future. Also, the fee of PICT is less than VIT. However, both VIT and PICT has good placememt records, but when it comes for placements in VIT, all students from VIT vellore, bhopal, etc gather together at Vellore campus only, which increases competition.

As per my personal choice SRM is better than VIT. See every college has its own pros and cons and people have their own opinions. the mess food at VIT VELLORE isn't good at all and even the education faculty, infrastructure is not good enough. Placements wise yes must say VIT had better placement comparatively. So choose wisely, as per your personal choices and comfort, choose the one which best suits you.

Comparing in terms of infrastructure and other facilities:

VIT> Thapar > LNMIIT > JIIT

Comparing in terms of placements:

Thapar/VIT > LNMIT > JIIT

VIT vellore and thapar institute are popular for its placement records and are considered as the top engineering colleges in India. Also, when it comes for fee structure Thapar and VIt charge a low fee compared to LNMIIT. however JIIT also offers good placement opportunities to students but are not as much good as VIT or Thapar.

VIT vellore is considered as one of the top engineering colleges in India , also the facilities are appreciable here. All the faculty members are masters in their subjects. VIT is popular due to its placement records, especially for CSE and electronics/electrical engineering. But for production engineering the placement records are not that much good.

But if you want to take VIT only, then I advise you to choose it only if you are capable of changing your stream in second semester. Yes, you can migrate to any other stream in second year if you perform good in first year. Otherwise, it will become difficult for you to grab a good placement opportunity here.

There is a 50-50 chance of viteee being conducted amongst this pandemic situation prevailing inthe country. Although we cannot exactly say anything about the situation, the decision depends on the authorities. So we would suggest you to study for both viteee and jee mains and the syllabus is almost same for both of them so there is no issue if viteee even gets cancelled.
