VIT Chennai, in its admission brochure for B.Tech admission 2021 has notified that it will accept JEE Main/SAT score for engineering seats.

So now you can apply for the VITEEE entrance exam through the official website viteee.vit.ac.in. Or you can also apply with the help of the JEE Main/SAT score card.

According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know about till what rank there is chance to get mechanical in vit vellore in category 1.

I would like to tell you that it cannot predicted till what rank you can get mechanical in vit vellore because every year it varies as the number of candidates appeared would be different and there are many other factors which varies every year.

But still according to my calculations a rank of 40k will be enough to get mechanical in category 1 in vit vellore.

SCTRs PICTs NIRF rank would be better 201-250. VIT Pune's NIRF rank is 165. The college fee in PICT is 3.86 lacks for 4 years and VIT Pune is 7.20 lacks for 4 years. PICT's NAAC accreditation is Grade B+, VIT NAAC accreditation is Grade A++. Infrastructure is more in PICT compared to VIT Pune. there is no surety that every students might get chances to go for abroad for post doctoral course. you have to apply for post doctoral research fellowship, mean while while pursuing phd course you may do work as research assistant or lecturer or may publish relevant research papers to make your profile most suitable.
