My rank is a little under 80000 in VIT. Can I hope for Chemical Engineering in Vellore?

The cutoffs for Chemical engineering in Vellore VIT branch is under 19500 closing rank as per 2016 trends.
Hence, at the ranks of 80000its next to impossible to convert seat at Vellore campus.

College Infrastructure

Vellore Institute of Technology has a really nice infrastructure with clean classrooms, labs, library and hostels. Wi-Fi is only available for 20 hours as it gets switched off around midnight. Campus is big and nice, but it can get crowded. Hostels are very hygienic as they get cleaned daily.
