Since you have a good percentage in PCM but you can't get a seat in Vellore with your board percentage marks. For taking the seat in CSE at vellore campus your rank should be under 20k in VITEEE. If you have this then you can easily opt the

Since your rank in VITEEE is 30k through which you comes under phase 2 counselling from which getting the chances of CS/IT at Vellore campus will be somewhat difficult because for these branches competition will be higher at vellore campus but yaah may be you will get CS/IT

In vellore Campus CSE/IT are one of the among the top branches. Inorder to take these branches your rank should be under 20k under category 1. It will be harder to take CSE/IT in vellore Campus in category 4 and 5.

which university is better in terms of placement in the subjects 1) computer science 2) electronics and communications - VIT AND SRM OF TN

When it comes to placements, VIT is better than SRM. VIT has good infrastructure and also has better teachers when compared to SRM. So, if you get an option between both of them, it would be better if you take VIT over SRM.

College Infrastructure

Vellore Institute of Technology has a really nice infrastructure with clean classrooms, labs, library and hostels. Wi-Fi is only available for 20 hours as it gets switched off around midnight. Campus is big and nice, but it can get crowded. Hostels are very hygienic as they get cleaned daily.
