i am getting 228 marks in uptu and i got 116791 rank in vit should i go for vit councelling or i should choose any uptu collage?

I would suggest you to get a branch of your choice in any of the decent UPTU colleges. Because at this rank, VIT won't have much to offer as you would get a seat in a branch that is not very trending currently and it harms in the long term.

You have low chance of getting Mechanical engineering branch in VIT VELLORE campus but still you can try foir it in counselling because there might be a chance that you can get this branch in 5th category.As the category increases corresponding Fee structure will increase by around 80000or less.

Yes you have chances to get cse in vit vellore campus but in category 3 because the cutoff is very high.For chennai campus i think you will get it in 1st category easily.Remember the fee structure increases with increase in categories.

College Infrastructure

Vellore Institute of Technology has a really nice infrastructure with clean classrooms, labs, library and hostels. Wi-Fi is only available for 20 hours as it gets switched off around midnight. Campus is big and nice, but it can get crowded. Hostels are very hygienic as they get cleaned daily.
