Yes, you can take direct admission as well in VIT ( Vellore Institute of Technology) in case you didn't get through VITMEE. Y ou can get direct admission into VIT but it depends on your qualification too . So, it will be Better to appear VITMEE and get a rank below 100K. it is not that difficult to come into this range.

Vellore Institute of Technology conducts VIT Master's Entrance Examination (VITMEE) for admissions into M. Tech and MCA . Admissions shall take place on the basis of the candidate's performance in VITMEE 2022. The VITMEE 2022 entrance test is conducted online as a computer-based test on June 21 & 22.

In my opinion you should go for VIT Vellore.

According to Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India :-

VIT is ranked at 13, while  VJTI is ranked at 84.

Following are parameters and scores given by NIRF:

1. Teaching Learning and Resources (Ranking Weightage = 0.30) These parameters are related to the core activities of any place of learning. These lay emphasis on measuring numbers and quality of faculty, library and lab resources and general facilities for development of young persons. Scores given for these parameters -VIT: 66.95 and VJTI: 32.29.
2. Research, Professional Practice & Collaborative Performance (Ranking Weightage = 0.20): Excellence in teaching and learning is closely associated with the scholarship of the faculty and students. Equally, faculty members are expected to make their knowledge and expertise available to benefit the society and industry. These parameters, therefore, attempt to measure the quantity and quality of research output as seen through international data bases, IPR generation and interface with industry and fellow professionals. Scores given for these parameters-VIT: 74.72 and VJTI: 57.85.
3. Graduation Outcomes (Ranking Weightage = 0.25): This parameter forms the ultimate test of the effectiveness of the core teaching/learning activity, and measures the student graduation rate and their success in finding appropriate placement in industry and Government or taking up higher studies. Scores given for these parameters-VIT: 77.38 and VJTI: 79.62.
4. Outreach (Ranking Weightage = 0.15): The Ranking framework lays special emphasis on representation of women and socially challenged persons in student and/or faculty populations, and also on outreach activities of the institution. Scores given for these parameters-VIT: 77.11 and VJTI: 59.06.
5. Perception (Ranking Weightage = 0.10): The ranking methodology gives a significant importance to the perception of the institution by its stakeholders. This will be accomplished through Stakeholder Surveys. Scores given for these parameters-VIT: 91and VJTI: 47.

Hence for teaching resources and services, VIT is better. For Research scope again VIT is better. For placements VJTI is bit better than VIT. Overall aggregate score given by NIRF to VIT: 74.40 and VJTI: 52.71.

Overall VIT is better, but then you can choose which college you want to go to on the basis of the parameters which matter to you the most.

In my opinion, you should go for BITS Goa.

BITS is far better than VIT in ALL RESPECTS. All the Campuses of BITS are much better than VIT. BITS is the only Institution where entry is fully by merit. There is neither Management quota not SC ST quote. The admission process is very transparent. Campus life is too good .

VIT has a huge Management quota. Their admission process is not transparent. Most of the job placements are from Companies like TCS WIPRO etc. There are just too many restrictions in the Campus.

The reasons why any campus of BITS is better than VIT are :-

1.Admission test of bits pilani requires more academic knowledge than viteee. It means BITSAT is more difficult than VITEEE.

2. In VIT exams there is no negative marking. You are free to write anything on OMR sheet. But in case of BITSAT negative marking is there. Each question carries +3 marks while for wrong answers -1 marks will be deducted.

3. The no of seats are increasing day by day in VIT for each branch. As We all know if seats are increasing it will automatically affect the quality of education. But inspite of all these still VIT is maintaining some educational standards that is far better than rest of the private engineering institutions of India.

4. Now a days there are more than 10 000 students in side the vellore campus only. So vit is giving mostly the mass placements. The main recruiters are TCS Infosys, CTS, ACCENTURE, WIPRO etc.

Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, deolite, flipkart, Intel, Tata, hundai, Samsung etc are coming every year but they are not recruiting students in a huge numbers.

Suppose 1500–2000 students will seat for campus placements out of which they will hardly take 50 students. If you are from core streams like mechanical, civil, electrical etc. In this case core companies placements will be even less than 50.

Vellore Institute of Technology is one of the top private Engineering colleges in India offering various B.tech courses across its 4 campuses. Integrated Mtech is a 5 year integrated engineering program which is equivalent to to the the degree of BTech + Mtech. The course is highly demanded among the students as it saves one year and have good opportunities.

Admission to integrated Mtech program at VIT is done on the basis of performance in higher secondary examination through a counselling process. The scores of candidates are recorded via an application form and seats are allotted on merit basis best upon preferences. Generally the form is released in the month of May and seat allotment is done in July.

Definitely ,i will suggest you vit bhopal as upes Dehradun has so many disadvantages like high fees approximately 20lakh + for 4 years , small campus , no high placement as compare to fees , average package is just 3 to 4 lakh . On the other hand vit bhopal is not much better but slightly good than upes Dehradun . In vit bhopal ,bigger campus, well researched field , disciplined,very supportive staff , decent placement .

For admission in B.tech courses of 4 years students can join from diploma courses completion of diploma courses of 3 years through an entrance test that is called dcet diploma common entrance test through these entrance test candidate can join in the 2nd year of BTech course that is called and lateral entry toBtech courses. The other examinations the state level BTech courses admission through diploma course is jee main  examination.

Through  dcet exam you can join your choice of course computer science engineering BTech courses in VIT that is Vellore Institute of Technology. Placements are too good. the highest package is 42 LPA. and the average package is 6-7 LPA. the lowest package is 3 LPA. most recruters are tcs,wipro. 90% of students got placed in multinational companies. nearly 700+ companies visited.

The placements were really good. The internships are being provided from the 3rd year first semester onwards only. Students can easily convert them into full-time. The companies like Amazon, Phillips, Grab, Deshaw, and so on. good companies visit this campus. The highest packages like 35 to 50 LPA are secured in these college students. Every student in this college gets placed. They show 100 percent placements.

So with regard to your query, you need to score 55% of marks in your 10+2 to be eligible for the VITEEE exam, further you need to score 45% in 10+2 in case if you belong to any reserved category. So in VITEEE exam you must score above 90+ to get CSE branch. However, a minimum score above 65 marks will get an admission into the college, but you might get other streams not CSE.
