Candidates who wish to enter into the medicine and health care industry can pursue a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) course. BHMS is an undergraduate degree program of five and a half years including a year of internship. In BHMS, the candidate gains knowledge of Homeopathy medicine and surgery. After the successful completion of a BHMS degree, a student is awarded a degree and is renowned as a Homeopathic Doctor. For admission to Bachelor of Homeopathy Medicine and Surgery - BHMS course in India, it is mandatory for aspirants to qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) entrance exam after passing Class 12 or equivalent examination.
