The college has a well established infrastructure- with proper lectures halls, practical labs, libraries, auditoriums, canteens, and well maintained washrooms and gardens, and a civil hospital attached, with a heavy patient load.
The academics are top notch, in English medium and very disciplined, punctual and consistent. The professors are very cooperative and helpful, and we have a total of 4 exams over the year- two internal exams, one preliminary exam and one university final exam.
Since it is a government medical college, we don't have to worry about placements. Right after our 4.5 years of study, all the students have to do a compulsory one year paid internship in the civil hospital of the college in order to get their mbbs degree.
All the government medical colleges in Maharashtra charge very high fees compared to other states, but the quality of education and the extra curriculars of the college are worth the fees, but still it gets expensive for many.
Even though the college campus does not have much to offer, the hostel campus is huge and beautiful- with canteens, sports grounds, various halls for different events and club activities. The teachers, staffs, as well as seniors are all very helpful and welcoming.
