Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

College Infrastructure

No proper lab available in our college. Machines are outdated. No proper Maintainance. Small play ground. Canteen facility is poor. Hostel is available. No smart classroom available. Problem for frsh drinking water.

College Infrastructure

GMIT has two hostels, one for boys and one for girls. The two hostels are located outside the campus. Every room is clean, clear and spacious to stay, and the food quantity is very good for health. You will get 4-time meals in the hostel. GMIT campus is lush green and well maintained. All the facilities like gym, sports, medical, internet, etc., are available.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of our college plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are now focusing on the labs, class rooms, etc while selecting a college. We have a well finished classrooms and labs . We have a very nice gym in our college. There are a lot of extra places for playing football. Our hostels are very clean and tidy. The environment around us is very beautiful. Our labs are very excited "Fluid mechanics", "Strength of meterials" ," Manufacturing lab" etc .
