BE Civil Engineering is a full-time four years duration course Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and Approved by AICTE.

Designing and executing structural works requires a great amount of analyzing, understanding and planning. A Skilled civil engineer plays a crucial role in infrastructure development. He or She has to be a construction and environment specialist besides being a versatile systems integrator. Modern day hi-tech construction management systems require a thorough knowledge in information technology. Keeping this in mind, IRT Tech imparts training to civil engineering students with the latest curriculum besides offering them an opportunity to gain hands-on experience though visits to industries and project sites. The budding architects of the future also gain from the guest lectures organized by the institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

A mere pass in HSC or its equivalent with the minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects or A pass in any one of the HSC (Academic and Vocational Stream) prescribed for B.E Degree admissions or any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamilnadu / Anna University for Engineering Admissions.

Admission For HSC(Academic) and Equivalent Examination:-

For other than BC /BC(Muslim)/MBC&DNC /SC/ST - Other communities. A minimum of 55% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
For BC / BC(Muslim) communities. A minimum of 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
For MBC&DNC communities. A minimum of 45% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Admission For HSC(Vocational) and Equivalent Examination:-

For other than BC /BC(Muslim)/MBC&DNC /SC/ST - Other communities. A minimum of 55% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
For BC / BC(Muslim) communities. A minimum of 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
For MBC&DNC communities. A minimum of 45% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Admission Details

As per TNEA, 65% of admission for govt. quota admission is done and 35% of students are admitted under management counselling. A mere pass in HSC or its equivalent with the minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects or A pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational Stream) prescribed for B.E Degree admissions or any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamilnadu / Anna University for Engineering Admissions.

Qualifying Examinations Marks (Maths - 100 marks, Physics + Chemistry- 100 marks) Total - 200 marks Cut off marks = 200 marks.

Minimum Level of Acceptance:-

For SC/ST Candidates, a mere pass in the qualifying examination. The minimum marks are same as the passing minimum for HSC of State of Tamilnadu. Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have obtained the following minimum average percentage

College Infrastructure

Yes my college have all necessary infrastructure, facilities and all the necessary equipments. Classroom are maintained clean. Libraries are open anytime during college hours. They give importance to sports.
