Board and lodging facilities are available at Heritage Institute of Engineering made separately for outstation boys. Seats are limited and allotted on a distance basis. Students can find common rooms where they can play indoor games like table tennis, chess, carrom etc.

Board and lodging facilities are available separately for outstation girls at the Heritage Institute of Engineering. Seats are limited and allotted on a distance basis. The common rooms are made separately for girls and boys. Students and faculties can avail of the postal services by DTDC on-campus arranged by the college.

The fully air-conditioned Central Library is housed in Central Block with a covered area of about 20000 sq.ft. It has a generous collection of about 55,000 (approx) text and reference books on all relevant subjects. Heritage Institute of Engineering subscribes to a large number of journals, periodicals, proceedings, magazines & local and national dailies, which are available for the benefit of the readers. Facilities at the Heritage Institute of Engineering library are constantly upgraded and expanded. Some of the current facilities include - Reprographics, Internet, and educational CDs. Heritage Institute of Engineering Library is fully automated with LIBSYS and Online Public Access (OPAC) facility along with D-Space and KOHA – open source software.

A common room, equipped with major indoor games facilities like Table Tennis, Carom and Chess is available at Heritage Institute of Engineering. There are excellent facilities for outdoor games and sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, golf and swimming managed by a Sports Officer and a Swimming Instructor.

Heritage Institute of Engineering Computer Centre has been set up as a centralised service centre so that students can use this for various purposes, such as a) Programming b) Project work c) Preparation of seminar materials etc. The facility has more than 600 Terminals along with printers and an Internet Facility with a 200Mbps Leased line.

Heritage Institute of Engineering has an excellent cafeteria. Multi-cuisine lunch and snacks are served in the Heritage Institute of Engineering cafeteria. Besides, a fast food restaurant-cum-convenience store is also there. The college has a cafeteria where students can have hygienic food at reasonable prices.

There is an Auditorium (Swami Vivekananda Auditorium) with 500 seater capacity which is centrally air-conditioned. The Heritage Institute of Engineering not only focuses on academic excellence but also provides sports facilities, an auditorium for events.

Heritage Institute of Engineering provides transportation which is available from prominent locations in Kolkata at scheduled hours based on students’ demand. Heritage Institute of Engineering transport facilities for members of faculty and staff, as also for visitors, are available from Ruby Island.

An Alumni Association is functional and may be reached at www.alumniheritage.com. Heritage Institute of Engineering alumni purpose is to accelerate the efforts for the welfare of the University and to impart appropriate guidance so that the University can further rise.

The entire Heritage Institute of Engineering campus is Wi-Fi connected with 64 Mbps leased line for 24 hours for net surfing and online study. All students are provided with unique email IDs for having any time access to institute-related information.

The Heritage Institute of Engineering has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. These departmental-based laboratories provide students with hands-on experience and support their theoretical knowledge.

Essential books, stationery etc., as well as reprographic facilities are available in the corner. All postal facilities are available at East Kolkata Township P.O. located nearby. Besides, there is an arrangement with DTDC so that members of the faculty, staff and students can also avail themselves of courier services.

A branch of Punjab National Bank is located on the Heritage Institute of Engineering campus with an ATM facility for the benefit of students and members of faculty and staff. Heritage Institute of Engineering banks also extend various soft loans.
