Harshath, the fee structure for every Medical College is fixed by the State Government of that particular State. It can be as less as Rs. 7,000 per annum as in the case of Calcutta Medical College to Rs.50,000 per annum. It depends again on the State that you are enquiring about. But there is a fee difference between fee in the GMCs filled through State Counselling and All India Counselling. As you have tagged Kasturba Medical College, it os Rs. 90,000 per annum excluding miscellaneous charges making the total fee structure as 4.5 lakhs.

Preetham, Karnataka is an Open State which means you canparticipate in their State Counselling. You haven't mentioned the Category you belong to. There are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. This applies to KMC as well. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. But because Karnataka is an Open State, you too can take part in the Counselling. If you belong to General Category, you will need atleast 575 marks and if you belong to Reserved Categories, you need atleast 525. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. For this Category, you need atleast 525 if you belong to General Category and 509 if you belong to Reserved Categories. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.

And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. Or else the only other option is through Management Quota. Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. No, be it kasturba medical college (manipal) or any other medical college be it private or government, neet is the only entrance exam.
This is because, neet examination has been mandatory to be qualified if one wants to get into a medical college and from this year, and now it has become the only gateway to all the medical colleges after AIIMS and jipmer UG entrance examination got scrapped off this year
So , if you want to get into kasturba medical college prepare well for neet examination.

This is one of the best thing about KMC. It has a huge campus and it is really beautiful. The place is very clean and the hostel facilities are really good. The food is also very healthy and hygienic. There is all kind of facilities available here.

College Infrastructure
The college infrastructure was good in our college, it had all the facilities and equipment. library was also very good and was full of useful books arranged systematically. classrooms and labs were also good.
