MIT Imphal Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The Institute has two Gents’ Hostel having a capacity of 100.

The Institute has one Ladies Hostel having a capacity of 50. M.U. Campus, Canchipur has a capacity of 100 students.

The Library has an adequate number of Textbooks, Reference books, National & Internal Journals. The students of the Institute can browse the Internet through the LAN provided in the Institute Library. Many highly rated national as well as international e-journals are being subscribed through which, faculty, staff, and students of the Institute can access online. Some of the important e-journals are IEEE, ELSEVIER, ASCE, etc.

The Laboratory is equipped with a good number of Texas Instruments, DSP Kit with Add-on-Modules, and Spectrum Analyzer for performing Digital Signal Processing experiments. The latest Matlab Software is used for performing Digital Processing and Image Processing experiments.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The Department has several states of the art Computer Laboratories with a host of servers, workstations, and a large number of i3, i5, and i7 Desktop Computers connected to the Campus-wide LAN with access to the Internet through NKN (National Knowledge Network). The system runs on a wide variety of operating systems including Linux Red hat, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8, High profile AntiVirus, MySQL, Oracle, Visual Studio, Adobe Premiere, Maya (Latest). The laboratories are equipped with up-to-date office automation software, file servers in addition to the various state-of-the-art compilers and programming environments i.e. Hardware Lab., Software Lab., Networking Lab., and Graphic Lab. well equipped with the latest Core i3, i5, and i7 PC’s, etc. The networked laboratory is equipped with a wireless networking system, LAN trainers, and a Wi-Fi connection. There is a hardware Lab. equipped with various training kits, experimental setup, analyzer equipment, etc.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The classrooms are provided with audiovisual aids to avail the facility of e-learning and the latest teaching methods using overhead projectors under the funding of AICTE-NEQIP. There is also one Digital Classroom in addition to the above facility.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
