The Candidate should have passed the Karnataka State second-year PUC (10+2) or its equivalent examination with Physics. Mathematics along with Chemistry I Bio-technology / Biology as opted subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in optional subjects, irrespective of the marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. ln case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and other backward classes (Category -1, 2k 2B, 3A and 3B) the minimum marks for eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

The students who have passed the three-year diploma in Karnataka with a minimum 45% are eligible for entry to the third semester through the Common Entrance Test.
