Mediocre college

Infrastructure is average. Labs had the bare minimum equipment required. Campus Placement was good till 2012 because of the TPO who left OCT to join some other institute. Hostel life was the best part of college until 2012 because after which only 1st and final year students were allowed to live in a hostel. Most of the teachers are of worst possible quality.

Awesome college. Good placement with extra activities

The College life was awesome.Faculty provided are okay. Promote extra activities .Placement is considerably good.It is even economic as I completed my BE in less than 3 lakhs which is a great point to consider. In all, I must say it's a great campus to spend 4 years and come out with a gem.

Had bad experience of college, poor return of time and money

The College should follow the investment model as all the students are investing a big amount in the college. They should be the stakeholders which can influence the quality of education. To improve the quality of education, colleges should allow the students to leave the college in any semester so that UG education experience should not be bound to single college and facilities. It should be flexible enough to challenge the quality of education and serve the students as their valuable customer and be the business model as its very professional manner Since exams are conducted by a single university for the state. Please make good use of the review comments and my efforts.

Nice college

It's good be an orientated, good faculty, ok infrastructure, nice view, two of the Bollywood movies have been shot in this college. Overall it's amazing to experience the college. Also, placement is good in TCS... Also, the labs are updated every year... I myself having a great experience with this college and do recommend to join others.

The college was built back in the year 2002 and was originally named as Thakral College Of Technology The crowd here is very nice with students mostly from local areas apart from those you will find finest minds from U.P and Bihar mainly. The college has a well-spread campus and the campus is one of the oldest engineering campuses of Bhopal. All the facilities in the college are one of the best in Bhopal city and are at par with its competitors There are many events both cultural and technical that take place in the college and are quite good in lieu of the college standards The college has a dedicated floor for library and computer lab which is quite nice, the infrastructure remains old though which is needed to be improved. Oriental college of Technology is strict about the attendance. The college not only imposes fines but also summons parents of those defaulting. Students having really poor attendance are made to submit fines you will have to give money to management without your consent for stupid things like registration for the semester. The campus has one canteen and that is good for its food quality. The college is a strict with its rules and regulations and discipline needs to be maintained, otherwise the strict action is taken.The College produces many of the university toppers. Placement records are high and with nice package received by the students.

First hand experience is awesome

I am a student of 2nd year in this college, and with one year of experience I can say that this is one of the finest college in Bhopal.Oriental College of Technology is amongst the engineering colleges in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh its situated on Raisen Road, Bhopal.It shares its campus with the Oriental Institute of Science & Technology (O.I.S.T) which is its sister college. The crowd here is very nice with students mostly from local areas apart from those you will find finest minds from U.P and Bihar mainly. The college has a well spread campus and the campus is one of the oldest engineering campuses of Bhopal. All the facilities in the college are one of the best in Bhopal city and are at par with its competitors It has finest laboratory facilities in Bhopal; the college has top notch library facilities. Infrastructure is also up to the mark but still much more is to be done in the areas like building and labs. There is a tech fest called as Tech Achme, organized which is quite famous amongst students in the city and receives huge number of student participation from the colleges in the city Oriental college of Technology is strict about the attendance. The college not only imposes fines but also summons parents of those defaulting. Students having really poor attendance are made to submit fines you will have to give money to management without your consent for stupid things like registration for the semester. The campus has one big canteen and that is average with its food quality. The college is a little strict with its rules. The college produces many of the university toppers. Good institution in Bhopal

This is in top colleges of Bhopal and this is also the oldest college of engineering in Bhopal established in 2002. Basically, the main strength of this college is experienced faculty they have knowledge of his/her stream so we can gain more knowledge other qualities are regularity and discipline good infrastructure well uninformed etc.

Not that good institution

I am currently the student of IT engineering in Oct Bhopal. Here is my personal opinion. Great and Intellectual friends. Since it is not far from the city, you can avail of many courses(java/C/C++/oracle) and you can go for preparations for higher studiesU gonna meet quite a lot of talented guys. No new companies coming for software guys. Same as TCS, Infosys. Poor Infrastructure. Teaching and Lab are poor at least for IT/CSC students.Not much exposure to internships in good companies.

Not so good nor that bad

I graduated from OCT in 2015 with BE in computer science engineering. I enjoyed my time there very much. As was mentioned, the Raisen road highway location of the campus is excellent. The tuition fees are very high in comparison to other Colleges of Bhopal. The College faculty had some really distinguished members, very good instructors and inspiring. Also, all the Department had some fine instructors, with a few M.tech degrees. The physical plant, the faculty and the student body quality are excellent, as is the Sports programs. Good luck in your choice, OCT is very good, worth the price.

Oriental is best if you opt for engineering.

Oriental College has one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever seen. I am currently a junior in the business school and have been here for 2 and 1/2 years now. The undergraduate engineering college is best in Bhopal and there are many opportunities made available to students. Being a student here has opened a lot of doors for me and pushed me to always strive for more. There are many clubs and on campus organizations where students are constantly active and involved. The people are very friendly and the location is very nice, being slightly outside of the city (10-15 minute car ride). It makes you feel like you are in a college town but you have the city at your disposal just a few miles away, an escape depending on what is your cup of tea. The nightlife is a lot of fun and so are the games. My biggest complaint would be a lack of diversity. It is slowly improving, but it does seem to be lacking a bit in my taste. Overall I have very much enjoyed my time here and wish you the best of luck in your decision!
