Building is so old and labs are not that much good functioning. Classrooms are so congusted and sometimes there is also water leakage in upper floors and the library is also not that good as building infrastructure.
The syllabus of the all courses are so good, the doubt solving is also good. College also provide us extra skill courses.practical classes are very regular and also teacher focuses on practical skills hence knowledge.
Placements are okay at this college. The companies that come in this college are very selective about the candidates. Here placements are based on the branch that you have chosen and the additional skills.
I found the infrastructure at to be below expectations, which is why I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars. While the campus has a legacy feel, many of the academic buildings and classrooms appear outdated and lack modern facilities. Basic amenities like seating, ventilation, and maintenance are not consistently up to the mark, which impacts the overall learning environment. The labs, although functional, often lack updated equipment and proper upkeep, making practical exposure less effective than it should be. Additionally, common infrastructure such as hostels, washrooms, and recreational spaces needs significant improvement. The campus does not fully align with the standards expected from a reputed government engineering institute in today’s time. Issues like overcrowding, limited modernization, and insufficient attention to infrastructure upgrades reduce the overall student experience. With better investment and maintenance, the institute has the potential to improve, but in its current state, the infrastructure feels quite average and sometimes disappointing.
The academic environment at is quite strong, which is why I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. The curriculum is well-structured and aligns reasonably well with current industry requirements, especially in core engineering subjects. Most faculty members are knowledgeable and experienced, and they ensure that fundamental concepts are clearly taught. The institute also maintains a decent level of academic rigor, with regular assessments, practicals, and assignments that help students stay engaged and consistent in their studies. However, there is still some scope for improvement in terms of teaching methodologies and industry exposure. While theoretical knowledge is emphasized well, more focus on hands-on learning, modern tools, and real-world applications would enhance the academic experience further. Some departments could benefit from updated course content and more interactive teaching approaches. Overall, despite a few gaps, the academics remain one of the stronger aspects of the institute and contribute positively to student development.
The placement scenario at is fairly strong, which is why I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. The institute attracts a good number of reputed companies, especially for core branches and IT roles, and a significant portion of students secure decent offers every year. The placement cell is active and organizes training sessions, mock interviews, and aptitude preparation to help students perform better during recruitment drives. For students who are consistent and well-prepared, there are ample opportunities to land good packages. That said, there is still room for improvement in terms of diversity of recruiters and higher average packages across all branches. While top performers tend to secure excellent offers, the gap between the highest and average packages can be quite noticeable. Additionally, more industry collaborations and internship opportunities could further strengthen placement outcomes. Overall, placements are one of the better aspects of the institute, but a bit more consistency and expansion in opportunities would make it even stronger.

Being a government institute, it traditionally offered a good balance between fees and the quality of education, placements, and overall exposure. Students generally benefited from decent academic standards and placement opportunities at a relatively affordable cost compared to private colleges. However, the recent significant increase in fees has impacted this balance noticeably. With the fees nearly doubling, the return on investment now feels less justified, especially when the infrastructure and certain facilities have not seen proportional improvements. While the academics and placements still hold value, the increased financial burden makes it less appealing from a cost-benefit perspective. Overall, it still offers moderate value, but the recent fee hike has reduced its affordability advantage.

While students can still find their own circle and make the most of their time, the institute itself does not contribute significantly towards creating a lively and dynamic campus life. Overall, it feels average at best and often falls short of expectations.
Old infrastructure with no modification in past years. Some classroom are developed and some are not . I.e not all students getting equal treatment. Although greenery is well maintained in the whole campus.
Testing and examing structure is way better. Curriculum is regularly updated. But the teaching methodology is very primitive. Not really It all depends on you and your skill set . According to me college is just for degree.
Recently the placement has an average status. It provide solid placements but not the way it is hyped. Maximum students got placed. Due to recession currently the condition is quite bad.and honestly it's not about clg it's about your skill when it comes to placement.
The avg a 1lakh per year fee is charge in sgsits. And currently In the year of 2025 it was increase to a higher value which is not worthy of the facilities they provide. A student can go to private college as well if they had to pay this much amount of fee.
The campus if of 36acre approx. With multiple gardens and buildings. It also has many clubs for students development and it organise many cultural events for students entertainment and development.it also has girls and boys hostel.

The campus buildings show visible signs of wear — cracked walls, leaking roofs during monsoons, and poorly maintained washrooms. Wi-Fi connectivity is unreliable across most academic blocks, hampering modern learning. Parking facilities are cramped and disorganized. While the institution has a strong academic legacy, the physical infrastructure does not meet the standards expected of a premier government engineering college. Serious investment and renovation are long overdue to provide students with a conducive and dignified learning environment.

For an institution with such a long-standing reputation in Madhya Pradesh, the quality of academics has clearly declined over the years and needs immediate structural reform to stay relevant.

Very few companies visit the campus for recruitment, and most of those that do offer extremely low salary packages that barely meet industry standards. Core engineering companies are almost entirely absent from the placement drive, leaving students with limited options outside of IT service roles. The Training and Placement Cell shows little proactive effort in attracting reputed recruiters or building strong corporate connections. Pre-placement training and mock interview sessions are infrequent and poorly organized. A large percentage of students are left to find jobs entirely on their own through off-campus efforts. Higher studies and competitive exams have become the only viable fallback for many graduates. The college does little to bridge the gap between students and meaningful career opportunities, which is a serious disservice to hardworking students who invested years and money into their education here
SGSITS Indore offers very poor value for the money spent by students and their families. The facilities provided do not justify the costs — classrooms are outdated, labs lack modern equipment, and basic amenities on campus are poorly maintained. There is no significant investment visible in upgrading the learning environment or enhancing student experience. The placement outcomes are weak, meaning students often graduate without a job in hand despite years of financial sacrifice. Extra charges are frequently collected for events, exams, and activities that add little real value. When compared to private colleges offering similar or better facilities at comparable fees, SGSITS fails to stand out. For middle-class families who bank on government colleges for quality education at reasonable cost, this institution unfortunately does not deliver on that promise. A serious reassessment of how student fees are utilized is urgently needed.
The campus life at SGSITS Indore is dull and uninspiring, offering very little beyond the bare minimum. Sports facilities are neglected and poorly maintained, discouraging students from pursuing physical activities and extracurriculars. The college canteen offers limited and often unhygienic food options at unreasonable prices. Hostel conditions are substandard, with issues like water shortage, poor sanitation, slow internet, and outdated infrastructure being common complaints. There is very little mentorship or counseling support available for students struggling academically or mentally. The overall atmosphere on campus feels stagnant and demotivating, with no strong sense of community or college pride among students. A vibrant campus life is essential for holistic development, and SGSITS sadly falls far short of creating that environment for its students.

Great teachers and good variet of streams available to choose from and good lab facilities and new advance equipment’s available in college. First year gives you vast knowledge to study each subject of all streams

College infrastructure is so bad but college provide to facility laboratory library sports centres and cleaning classrooms but College campus are so small it's not the big and canteen facility and maintenance hygienic food.

College campus is having many departments with so many buildings and they also have canteen and some shops where you can buy stationery and the playground area and gardens are also well developed talking about classrooms so they are quite good
The syllabus and curriculum in our college campus is really great as it is developed on yearly basis making student more job ready and industry ready and teachers are quite friendly and helpful in nature always ready to help the student.
Placements are really great as some big pharmaceutical companies visit here for placement of student including Glenmark, Lupin Pharma, ipca, Cipla etc with an average package starting from 4 lakh going up to 8 lakh per year
College infrastructure is not in good condition it's buildings need major repair and some but theri is not sign of repair in college building over all sgsits college need a very urgent repair in infrastructure.
Academics is quite good in sgsits . But they are very strict also and there is always a academic pressure like completing assignments, preparing for test and exams etc .it's is quite difficult to maintain balance.

Current it is not value for money because college fees is now are in higher side which creature a mental pressure on both students and parents .
Campus is quite smaller around 40 to 45 acer .And campus also need major repair like in play ground, building etc. Campus need a major upgrade .
In current situation sgsits indore is not worth it at all because college fees are in higher side ,infrastructure is not good as much we want academic is on higher side which is quite good for placement no doubt placement is on positive side .
The infrastructure of my college needs significant improvement. Although the college has basic facilities, many areas are not properly maintained. The classrooms are not cleaned regularly. It needs to be improved.

Academic is not updated related to new technologies and most give perotries to the theories as compare to practical or real life examples they follow useless Academic schedule which is not suitable for today's generation
In pervious year's this college have different values and now a days it is totally different,most of the companies are not interested for sgsits students,some companies are given very low packages to the most of the students
For me it is a option of choice if you have no choice then take admission in this college otherwise go for the better option if you have,don't waste your time ,efforts ,career here try to save your energy and to do something else
Campus life is depends on your pier group if your group have mature people then it is good for everyone but everyone here so selfish,they only think about them self ,they avoid to talk but pretend to be very nice
