Rajas Dental College and Hospital-Kavalkinaru (RDCAHK), located in Tamil Nadu, and is one of the most prestigious dental schools recognized for imparting undergraduate and postgraduate programs in dentistry. The college recognizes the selection of candidates to its program through procedures ensured by the DCIs (Dental Council of India) and another independent statutory body, the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). Most of the admission processes related to RDCAHK are considered to take place at the national level. Admission in undergraduate programs is on the basis of merit list of NEET-UG entrance ranking examination, conducted by the National Board of Examinations, which is published for the students. On the other hand, postgraduate admissions would require proof of passing the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET-MDS).
Basically, the first semester starts in the month of August-September, whereas the process of admission begins a few months in advance. The candidates are hence advised to check the official webpage of the college and also the respective examination authority for date and deadlines. Undergraduate Candidates should have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their core subjects. The admission procedure is done based on NEET-UG scores, followed by a counseling process by the competent authority. The NEET-MDS results are then preceded in the same manner as their undergraduate counterpart for the purpose of admission. For entry into MDS programs, a candidate must have a BDS degree from an institution recognized by the DCI.
