Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for Management Quota Admission.

Eligibility for NRI/PIO Allotment Admissions

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), put together are eligible for NRI Quota admission. However excellent marks for PCM in the qualifying examination is desirable.
KEAM (Kerala Entrance Exam ) rank is not mandatory to apply under this quota.
This quota is for applicants sponsored by NRIs/PIOs and / or children of Indians employed in Gulf Countries. An NRI can sponsor the children or dependents and he/she will have to give an undertaking in the prescribed format. Also, he/she should provide a copy of his/her Passport and a copy of the VISA, all self-attested.

Admission Details

The Admission process will be Based on the merit and Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is quite well. The college provides separate lab blocks for all practicals, and classrooms are all good. Library is also large enough and has almost all the reference books and is well organised. The hostel facilities are also quite well. Food is also good as compared to other colleges. The hostel rooms are of 3 types single non-attached, single attached, and triple rooms, in which single attached has a bit high price.

College Infrastructure

The department has well-equipped labs for mechatronics, control systems, microcontrollers, and industrial automation. The department supports minor and major projects. Hostel facilities are good. Discipline is maintained. Mess is good. The food is good but not that great. The hostel and college have Wi-Fi availability.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure just stands out. The amphitheater is for programs, the auditorium for other events, even TEDx events are held at our college, and the library is really helpful. Every department has its own library and also a common library where all students study during the exams
