B.Sc Pure Mathematics Hons at School Of Advanced Engineering, UPES, Dehradun Offline Course

The B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics / B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics by Research at UPES School of Advanced Engineering (Applied Sciences Cluster) is a four-year undergraduate programme aligned with NEP 2020, offering academic flexibility, multidisciplinary learning and outcome-based progression. The programme runs across eight semesters (up to 20 credits per semester) with multiple entry and exit options—students may exit after 120 credits with an undergraduate degree, or complete 160 credits to earn either B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics or B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics by Research. The Research pathway includes research methodology, supervised research and a defended dissertation evaluated by an expert panel, and the four-year degree supports direct PhD entry (with coursework) in India and abroad, as per norms.

Pure Mathematics Focus: Designed for students drawn to abstraction, proof and theoretical depth, the Pure Mathematics specialisation builds the core structures underpinning advanced mathematics and allied disciplines.
