There is scarcity of digitally trained workforce in E & P sector, which is major roadblock in the adoption of digitalization in the oil and gas industry.
Keeping this in mind, UPES offers digital oil field specialization to B Tech students of petroleum engineering. Digital oilfield concept blends business process management with digital technologies for workflow automation, productivity maximization, and cost reduction, resulting in O&G operation risk minimization.
A thorough implementation of digital oilfield can aid E&P as well as service companies enhance operational efficiency, production optimization, data integration, teamwork, and workflow automation. Furthermore, productivity gains can be achieved through enriched understanding of the subsurface, long-distance monitoring of drilling and completion operations, and logistics optimization.

The campus is at a great location surrounded by splendid beauty of mountains and have a good infrastructure including free wifi,digitally enabled library,sports ground and multi activity center (indoor sports complex).
The infrastructure is awesome here. The life's awesome here for every kid who us willing to take admission here. the college is surround by hills as it is not located in the city area, but the infrastructure of the college is very Attractive and is very beautiful as well
