The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in SSET started in the year 2002 with an intake of 60 students. In 2013 the intake has been increased to 120 students. The faculty strives to foster and encourage a teaching methodology that is both practical and theoretical in approach tuning to the requirements of the latest developments in research and industry in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department has well established laboratories with sophisticated equipment supplementing the academic needs of the students. The lab facilities are being upgraded from time to time, to provide adequate opportunities for the students to learn and innovate.

Admission Process

Candidate should also have a valid rank in the Kerala State Engineering Entrance Examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission is strictly on the basis of merit
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December.
No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed
Candidate must be the citizen of India

SSET B.TECH ADMISSIONS- NRI SEATS

An applicant can apply only for one category, either management or NRI.
Candidate who has passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), put together are eligible for NRI quota admission. However excellent marks for PCM in the qualifying examination is desirable.
An NRI can sponsor the children or dependents* and he/she will have to give an undertaking in the prescribed format. Also, he should provide a copy of passport, copy of visa and copy of employment certificate, all self-attested.

SSET B.TECH ADMISSIONS - MANAGEMENT SEATS

An applicant can apply only for one category, either management or NRI.

this is one of the best colleges out here. good place. good infrastructure. lots of freedom. great hostel life. the only problem is lack of placement. but its common here. lots of my friends in nearby colleges says the situation is same everywhere. anyways i enjoyed my 4 years. would recomend for sure

B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The first thing good about this college are the faculty members, they’re probably among the best in the state. Infrastructure is also above par. For computer students, placements are sure with lot of companies joining the recruitment process. If you want to get any core jobs you have to be brilliant as well as lucky. The college primarily focuses on discipline which may be annoying for some. Don’t expect much freedom during your first year. When compared to other colleges in the state, the college lacks gardens. A new architecture block is constructed. Overall the college is good and great if you can bear the strict disciplinary measures adopted.

SCMS school of engineering and technology is located at Vidya Nagar, karukutty. The college is ragging free. Even though there are too many strict rules All kinds of skills and talents of each individual are appreciated here. Anyway, the prior importance goes to education. All the faculties are very dedicated and hardworking. We are provided with all kinds of facilities like computer labs with air conditioning, seminar halls, language labs, all branches workshops, etc... The college is well known for its discipline. This is one of the best in Kerala. And I am very sure that I will have great memories and good valuable future from this college.

SCMS is pretty good college. I am so happy to study here. We are getting a good college life here. We are provided with a good team of faculty members. A super campus is here for students. Hostel facilities are available for students. We are having a super college life here. Such an excellent teaching officials are also here.

SCMS is the very good college with very good teaching faculties. SCMS provide a beautiful infrastructure with all lab facilities. College provides a beautiful atmosphere for students. College campus is ragging free. Placements are good on our campus. According to new KTU result, SCMS comes in 15th position.
