    College Infrastructure

college infrastructure is average. The old building class room walls are damp. auditorium has A.C facility but it usually remains out of service. spmc has a gym which is only available for use to sports student. the canteen is fine. living space is usually clean but washrooms remain dirty.

    Academics

teachers are excellent no doubt. but what lacks in academic is all professors are in a hurry to complete the syllabus which results in not proper understanding of the topics. i am studying political science, this subject has a lot of theory to understand but professors hurry make it difficult to explore any topic in depth.

    Placements

field of political science don't really have internships. the placement cell usually provides internships and jobs to commerce students or computer science and b.led . internships for psychology students are also less.

    Value for Money

i am studying political science here, my annual fee is 7-8k and yes it is really worth the money. because at this price i am getting experienced and reputed teachers. most importantly i am getting a chance to be a part of prestigious university of delhi at this price.

    Campus Life

best way to enjoy campus life is to join college societies , you get to go to different colleges within Du or outside du and you get to meet people. campus is beautiful. one can enjoy, here very well.

    Others

i joined theater society in my first year. got to go to different colleges and participate. although there is an attendance issue, but being a part of any society you get attendance for the classes missed due to practice or competition.

    Academics

I am studing ba hons i just wanted to study this. Quality of teaching is good! Our teachers are highly qualified.yes our curriculum is updated and it includes all the development in the field. Yes my study make me job ready.

    Placements

Dont know about placements i have asked to my seniors about this so they said they dont give good placememts as per your requirement or your qualifications.so i dont know kuch about this. I hope our colg is supportive in these cases.

    Value for Money

Yes i guess it cost around 7000 yes ofcouse it is worth of your money.dude where you will get 7000 for a course and its du not an aira gaira university.haha

    Campus Life

    College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is very beautiful. With lush greenery everywhere. Different kind of flora occupy this campus. It has a large auditorium fully air-conditioned, and with a very big stage and back stage facilities.it has a gym with all the equipments. It has computer labs and psychology labs.

    Academics

Teachers are so supportive, knowledgeable, experienced. They provide every resource available. They provide all the books recommended in syllabus. Library is quipped with all the syllabus books and past year question papers.

    Placements

Placement cell is super active now a days. They provide internships almost daily now. Percentage of students getting internships is still low, but the placement cell is working on improving students CV and communication skills.

    Value for Money

Annual fee is very low. It is about 7-8 thousand. The costliest course in spmc is computer science which exceeds 10k per annum. But other departments have low fee usually Lower than 10 thousand. It is value for money.

    Campus Life

Amazing! Campus life is amazing here. You get peace here. Best thing about this campus is, it is near club road, which is an excellent spot to chill and have delicious cuisine. Teachers are supportive, seniors are lovely. Only gate keeper is rude.

    Others

Being from a small household this college has helped me in boosting my confidence.

    Not so good.

    College Infrastructure

Honestly, college infrastructure is good from outside, but inside classrooms walls are messy. The old building needs repairment work. Although it has all the necessary infrastructure, but student to get access to use all of it. For example, only sports students can use gym and basketball court.

    Academics

Although, spmc has knowledgeable and experienced professors. Still some of them don't help students in answer framing and solving question papers. Practical knowledge factor lacks in their teaching style.

    Placements

I have been a part of this college for 2 years now, and I couldn't find a good internship opportunity from college in these two years. All the internships are related to commerce field. Also very few students get selected, even if they have applied to the internship, because so many of them don't know how to present their CV.

    Value for Money

Yes, it is a value for money. But I feel like, teachers could show more efforts and give us more resources to study from. Also college infrastructure can be improved. Inn additionto your annual fee which is usually under 10k college takes department fee as well which is around 350 , usually you are not told about this extra fee before admission. So I thought people should know it beforehand

    Campus Life

Spmc doesn't provide a hostel facility, which becomes a matter of problem for many. Although campus life is just average for me. Campus life usually depends on the friends you have and the activities you participate in, it can differ for person to person.

    College Infrastructure

I feel like the infrastructure is far better than many colleges of Delhi University. It is big, spacious, it has auditorium, labs, gym, playground, chatting spots. Canteen is affordable but sitting space isn't enough. Washrooms are the only place in college which remains dirty, even after cleaning,it doesn't look clean.

    Academics

Academics are good. I would say academics is the most strongest point of this college. It has completed 50 years and teachers here are very experienced, supportive, and knows how to build up a communicable environment.

    Placements

Placement cell hast started to work recently. But it lacks diversity in the field of placement offered. Most internships and jobs are for commerce stream. Also most of the internships provided are unpaid.

    Value for Money

Yes it's definitely value for money. My annual fee is around 7-8 k which is quite affordable. Also their is no extra fee charge other than minimal exam fee of 400. All the departments have fee structure around 10-11k per annum.

    Campus Life

I feel like, I don't get to enjoy my campus life Fully. It's an off campus, it lacks the cheering crowd of college students everywhere like north campus. You can study very well here. But cheering factor of college lacks.

    Others

If it's not north campus, choose it.

    College Infrastructure

Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for women has a great infrastructure and polite staff. The sanitation facilities are not upto the mark. Canteen of the college is very great with a budget friendly menu.

    Academics

On the academic side, Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women is very good. I am studying Political science Hons. and almost all of our professors are well educated and kind too. Also, our college has all the new courses introduced in DU.

    Placements

The placement facility is not that much great in Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women. Some companies do come for placements but they are mostly poorly paid. And most of the internships are unpaid.

    Value for Money

Delhi University is famous for it's cheap courses, so that a pupil from every section of the society can come up with something great. My course cost around ₹6000 per year, which I think is very much within my budget.

    Campus Life

The college has great field areas. It have basketball ground and many other grounds. There is also a well-equipped gymnasium for the students of the college. If talking about safety, the college is near to a hospital too.

    Good experience

    College Infrastructure

Our college have all the necessary infrastructure facilities and equipment Some are in good condition and quality some are not. We have basic things which are needed in a class room i.e board duster benches though in some classes they are no in good condition, we don't have smart boards, wer library is good but lacks few things, we don't have any hostel due to which many students face problems they have to live in PGs and have to pay high amount as rent, tolerate tantrums of PG owners etc.

    Academics

I'm studying political science because my parents wanted me to do so and also somewhere i'm inerested in it, the quality of teaching is average.... curriculum sometimes include recent developments sometimes not...no this do not makes me job ready

    Placements

As much as i've heard about placement cell it is average, i neither the percentage nor the highest salary package..... don't know about the average salary package too....never went to placement cell of our college....as much as i have heard they are supportive

    Value for Money

    Almost 8000rs.

    Campus Life

Location is safe....half of the teaching staff is supportive and helping.... no it cannot handle emergencies

    College Infrastructure

In matter of infrastructure it's good. Facility of wifi and smartboards are available and used when needed. Greenery everywhere. Internet connection is poor. Living spaces are clean. Food prices are cheap.

    Academics

I'm pursuing ba hons political science because I find it interesting. Teaching quality of political science department is not good. In this field Study doesn't make us job ready after graduation. there are some teachers who invest their time properly. Teachers are biased.

    Placements

I doubt if we even have a proper placement cell in our college. If we have then it's not for humanity students. Other departments may have better placement opportunities. I'm not sure. May it get better.

    Value for Money

Ba Hons political science course cost per year = less than ₹10,000. It seems normal but fees is gradually increasing and facilities are not. There should be changes in teaching patterns and behaviour towards students.

    Campus Life

SPM college is located in West Punjabi Bagh, near Shivaji park metro station, so it's easy to reach. According to me it is safe. There is a boy's school. Seniors are supportive. Some teachers are helpful and some rude.

    Others

It's a girl college but still it is fun.

    Not good not bad.

    College Infrastructure

Our college infrastructure is good. Buildings are good. But classes are not clean. Desks are damaged. New building has better infrastructure. But old building are not clean and rooms are small. There is no smart boards in every class but in some class it has. There is no hostel in our college. Wifi is not working. There is no network in college building. And there is no wifi connection they provide. Food hygiene is okay. Washroom are not clean.

    Academics

I'm an English hons. Student. Some teachers are good and some teachers are not co-operative. In my i don't think so we study for job. We're just studying novel and nothing. It doesn't makes us job ready.

    Placements

I have no idea about placement. I'm 2nd year student and I'm not engage in placement cell. So i don't know about placement. Maybe it's depend on skills of every student and course of student. I'm not sure.

    Value for Money

Yeah i cost 6500 for my course per year... it's money worth

    Campus Life

There are many activities to do but there is a big issue of attendance. If someone wants to engage in any activity teacher will not give attendance.

    Others

I'm okay with this College but not happy nor sad ?.

    College Infrastructure

Smart boards are not maintained well , even wifi is miserable or I must say that it never works , canteen and the ground are littered . Even hostels are also not made which force the students to live in highly rented apartments as paying guest

    Academics

I feel this academic part varies from student to student because teachers come from diverse background due to which students are unable to catch their words easily . However In my case I feel the teaching is good however it doesn't make you job ready , I feel that much more could be done to make students prepare for the future world.

    Placements

The fact is that the college is not in campus due to which their is no such exposure to placements, the good opportunities pass straight away to the students in campus . However I have not experienced the placement s so I can't comment much on that .
