Affordable college with decent facilities and good crowd.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of my college is quite decent and serves the needs of students well. The classrooms are big enough and have proper ventilation, so they don’t feel crowded or uncomfortable during lectures. The seating is fine, and most classes have projectors and greenboards which make learning easier and more interesting. The library is a nice place for study, with a good number of books and reference materials for different subjects. Our labs are well-maintained and have the basic equipment needed for practical work. The campus is generally clean, with trees and plants that make the surroundings fresh and pleasant. While the college may not have very modern or fancy facilities everywhere, everything is in good working condition and useful for students. Overall, the infrastructure is good enough to support learning and daily life in the college without many problems

    Academics

I am a student of the B.Com program in my college, and I find the academics here to be quite good and supportive for our studies. The syllabus is well-structured and covers all the important topics needed for a strong foundation in commerce. Subjects like accounting, economics, business law, and marketing are taught in a way that helps us understand both theory and practical use. Most of the teachers are friendly and approachable, and they explain concepts clearly. If we have doubts, they take the time to explain again until we understand. The classes are regular, and teachers often use examples from real life to make learning more interesting. Apart from classroom teaching, we also get assignments, projects, and presentations which help us improve our skills and confidence. Over-all the academics of my college is good.

    Placements

The placement opportunities in my college are average. The college does have a placement cell that works to connect students with companies, but the number of big or well-known companies visiting the campus is limited. Most of the placements are in small to mid-sized firms, which can be a good starting point for freshers but may not offer very high salaries in the beginning. The placement cell does organize workshops, career guidance sessions, and resume-building activities, which are helpful in preparing students for interviews. However, students also need to put in their own effort and sometimes look for opportunities outside the campus to get better options. For B.Com students like me, the placements are mainly in fields like accounting, sales, customer service, and basic finance roles. The average package is decent for a fresher, but those aiming for higher positions or better pay may need to go for further studies or competitive exams. Overall, the placement support is satisfactory for gaining initial work experience, but it can be improved if more reputed companies are invited and more industry connections are built.

    Value for Money

The yearly fee for my course in this college is around ₹15,000, which I feel is quite reasonable compared to many other colleges. It is not too high, but also not the cheapest, so I would say it is medium in terms of cost. For the amount we pay, we do get decent facilities like proper classrooms, a library, functional labs, and a clean campus. The quality of teaching is good in most subjects, and the syllabus is well-structured. However, when it comes to placements and very modern facilities, there is still some scope for improvement. Keeping that in mind, I think the fee matches what the college offers. It is worth it if someone is looking for an affordable option with a decent academic environment and basic infrastructure. Also, since the fee is manageable, it reduces financial pressure on students and their families, allowing us to focus more on our studies. While there are areas where the college could upgrade, overall I feel the cost of studying here is fair for the experience and education we get.

    Campus Life

The campus life in my college is overall enjoyable and comfortable. The crowd here is good, with students coming from different backgrounds, which makes the environment friendly and welcoming. People are generally cooperative, and it is easy to make friends or work together on group projects. The campus is located in a good area, which makes it safe and easily accessible by public transport. There are shops, cafes, and other useful places nearby, so students can find whatever they need without much trouble. Inside the campus, the atmosphere is calm and clean, with enough open spaces to relax between classes. Various cultural events, fests, and competitions are organized from time to time, which gives students a chance to showcase their talents and enjoy themselves apart from studies. Sports facilities and activity clubs are also available for those interested. While the campus is not extremely large or filled with luxury facilities, it has everything a student needs for a balanced college experience. Overall, the positive crowd, safe location, and friendly environment make the campus life here pleasant and memorable.

    Others

Of course, there are some areas where improvement is possible, like bringing in more reputed companies for placements and upgrading certain facilities of the infrastructure of the college.

    College Infrastructure

This college infrastructure is average as it doesn’t have well furnished classrooms, doesn't even have auditorium and there's lack of maintenance but it features a well equipped library, seminar room and medical room.

    Academics

The academic life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College is good as teachers here are very well educated they help students with everything students need to know and are helpful and kind. So academic life is good.

    Placements

The placements rate of this college is below average as not very well reputed companiedo not come here for placements purposes. And even if some companies come not every student get placement. So its of no use.

    Value for Money

Value for money is average as the fee range is fine according to many other colleges its affordable but not very good as according to fees the campus and infrastructure is not proper and well maintained.

    Campus Life

Campus life is below average as the campus itself is very small. The stars I am giving for campus life is because the seniors are very helpful here. They help us with everything we need to know and they solve every query.

    College Infrastructure

The college campus is restricted to a small space with no ground. The college is equipped with wifi, smart boards, etc. There is a library and a gym too with limited equipments. It is a decent college.

    Academics

The academic aspect is quite good with some skilled and well educated faculty. The quality of education is not bad as well with regular assignments and focus on internals. Practical learning is another aspect that should be explored.

    Placements

The placement cell of the college understand student needs and tries to bring the best companies to the forefront for the students. Big names have made to the campus in the previous years for the students.

    Value for Money

The course fee is still a decent amount given the quality being offered. However, with the limited exposure to activities, some courses can be made available for even lower fees as well. Otherwise, the money feels worth.

    Campus Life

The campus life is decent with students being amiable and friendly. There are a lot of political societies as well. The overall environment is student friendly. The location could have been better

    College Infrastructure

The computer labs are fully functional and air conditioned, although the restrooms can have a bit more cleanliness, the canteen has improved significantly now they do follow basic hygiene, the library of the college is good it has all the necessary books that anyone can issue

    Academics

I am studying Mathematics hons and by far my teachers have supported me in every single way although the maths faculty is small compared to other facilities in the college but they are the most helpful ones they give career guidance as well as tips on how to excel in the course Although I believe what I am studying does not make me job ready but with the skills ive learnt along the way I am.

    Placements

Each year the placement cell of the college organises a placement fair in which a lot of companies are there to recruit students for jobs or internships although I don't have much idea about the packages that get offered but many students do get good placements.

    Value for Money

My course costs around 20k yearly, i don't expect much from a government college that too off campus but I feel a few tweaks here and there can make the college even better and give students a better college life.

    Campus Life

The college would've been more better if it was in a bit more quieter place, the college being in Karol Bagh has a lot of noise pollution due to the traffic right outside the college, the teachers of the college are extremely friendly and supportive.

    GREAT COLLEGE

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The college has decent infrastructure with clean classrooms, library, labs, and Wi-Fi. The seminar hall are functional. No hostel facility, and the canteen is basic. Sports space is limited but societies are active and events are well-managed.

    Academics

Academically, the college is good with experienced faculty and regular classes. Syllabus is followed properly, and internal assessments, tutorials, and assignments are taken seriously. Some departments also organize guest lectures and workshops.

    Placements

Placements are average. A few companies visit the campus, and most students rely on off-campus opportunities. The placement cell is active and organizes seminars, workshops, and internship drives to support students.

    Value for Money

The college is value for money. The fee is affordable, especially for a DU college, and the education quality, exposure through societies, and degree recognition make it worth the cost.

    Campus Life

Campus life is lively and engaging. Various societies are very active and organize events, fests, and competitions throughout the year. The crowd is friendly, and students get good exposure beyond academics.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is not good at all. The furniture is from decades ago. The canteen is old and woren out. The building could use some renovations as well. There's no playgroujd in our college, there's just a small park

    Academics

The teachers teach in detail and explain nicely while some teachers (2-3) don't teach nicely at all. They just take leaves and don't teach nicely but there are good teachers as well so it balances out things.

    Placements

I don't think the placements provided from our college are good at all. Though, they are working their best on it and that's a good thing but it's still nowhere near good. Morevover, I think the teachers are helping out much on this case.

    Value for Money

The course costs around 16k to 18k per year and I think that's a reasonable amount.

    Campus Life

I have come across very talented and skilled people in our campus and they are really amazing as well. The people here are warm and sweet. They were really helpful to us when we were freshers as well.
