There is a big 3-storyed library covering all the subjects. The top floor is also air-conditioned so that students can read comfortably in hot summer. There are newspapers available every day. Classrooms are of adequate area, and each room has 2 air-conditioners. It is very good as most of the DU colleges don't have air-conditioners. The canteen is quite big with a good seating arrangement.
Faculty members are experienced and very professional here. Their teaching quality is up to the mark. They are supportive, very motivating and caring, which helps students to score and learn better. They all have graduated from good colleges and have a good command over their communication skills.
Although, my batch had all the scholars but there were a few students from Sports Quota. However, that wasn't the problem as the professors treated all the same. There were really less companies who wanted to recruit students of my course. There was a really less percentage of recruitment of my course.
The infrastructure is really good even being a old college of delhi university . Hostel provides with all the basic facilities like Wi-fi , laundry ,etc. The college is big enough with grounds to play different kinds of sports .The classes are well ventilated and big enough.
I am studying B.com from this college. The faculty is very helpful and insightful enough in explaining the topics well . The teachers are cooperative and have immense knowledge. The study is not limited to the books but also to practical application .
Placements are good if you are capable enough. Big companies like deliotte come in college for placements. The average salary offered last year was 5 LPA . The college is very supportive during the time of placements.
Fees is bit high as compared to other colleges of Delhi University but it is worth it
We get to learn n no of things here as well aa enjoy each and everyday of our college life
One of the best college of Delhi University.
Infrastructure is good and developed, and it is quite a lengthy campus. It lacks in the maintenance of its infrastructure. On financial status, the college is quite rich, but it doesn't show much in the expenses towards college infrastructure.
Faculty members are very good. There are some excellent teachers like Nachiketa sir and Bipin sir. All the teachers have a PhD. The course is very relevant as it talks about both India and the world, contemporary and the past. So it covers everything.
From our batch, 60-70% of the students got placed. The average salary package offered is around 3.5-4 LPA. Biggest recruiters are the big 4 accounting firms, i.e., E&Y, KPMG and Deloitte. Top roles offered in our course are in accounts and audit. The internship percentage is very high, and all the willing students got it.
Infrastructure of sports is quiet appreciable. Classrooms are having ACs , libraries are well equipped with the lot of books, wifi doesn't really works. Living spaces are clean and canteen food is healthy but not very good in taste .
I am currently studying Bcom Hons. I am studying commerce stream as I am a commerce from starting itself and would like to excel in the field of commerce itself. The quality of teaching is very good , teachers are well informed and are handy with the latest updates everytime. My curriculum is fully updated and also includes all necessary recent developments in this field.
The quality of placements arre really impressive as compared to the expectations ,, as when I had entered the college initially , I had not thought of a good placement thing in the college , but average 60 % placements were there current year of which average CTC is 5.5 lakh and highest if the 12.3 lacks which went to commerce student itself . So , it can be said that placement are at good level.
My fees had been 20000 in first year , then onwards it increased to 28000, I don't think that it's value for money as soon colleges which are on very high level from mine offers much great opportunities and placements and charge only 30000 per year which negligibly more than mine , so fees is on a bit higher side.
College campus is very nice as every student can really spent time by indulging in various activities. There are several societies, sports going on everytime. Teachers , students and support staff are all ok but support staff is not much helpful. College's location is great , it comes first if you come from either GTB Nagar metro station or vishvavidyalay metro station.
The college is good to go if looking for north campus.
Infrastructure is good. The best part is that the classrooms and common rooms are equipped with air-conditioners. However, sanitization is a major problem. Many a times there is water shortage. Hygienic food but options are less.
The faculty is amazing. Especially, the English department. The teachers are well versed and make learning fun. The assignments and internals are challenging. They provide great opportunities to the students to make them realise their potential.
I don't think that they focus on all the courses placements. If you are from BCom Hons or Economics Hons, there is a chance that you will get good opportunities. But, not a great package. Placement cell is the only thing which I don't like about this college.
One can have the best time of their college life here, from fests to visiting kamla nagar. You will enjoy is to the fullest. It's nearest to metro Vishwavidyalaya station and the crowd is good.
Yes It's very nice one of the best. College is fully air conditioned with gym also. The college has a large campus with fully equipped good labs. The play ground is also big and the class are also big and well maintained.
Yes teachers are very much specialized and teaches well. They explain concepts vey well . Teacher are qualified and use several practical examples to explain the subject. There are many societies related to academics also.
Placements are not of that high level as compared to other delhi university top colleges like Hindu College St Stephen College etc but surely has a decent placement. The college also has a placement cell which tries to bring companies
Yes
Very nice especially lot of exposure
Very nice college
The college has outstanding infrastructure. Classrooms are well lit and fully air-conditioned (only science block). Library is best in DU. The college has its own gym, a large sports ground, a table tennis room, a zoological garden, music room, etc. It has all necessary equipment and facilities. Canteen is also good and provides tasty food at affordable rates.
I studied Bachelors of Physical Sciences with Chemistry as my specialization. Quality of teaching is good. Since it was a general programme and not an honours course, only non-permanent faculties were allowed to teach us. Teachers were very supportive. Curriculum was good.
There is no placement for B. Sc. Physical Sciences in Khalsa College. Infact, I do not think if any college in India provides placement in B. Sc. Although for commerce courses, placements were there and it was good.
Every facility is available in this college and the best part is that it has a very beautiful place known as jannat where you can spend hours with your gang. The auditorium is very good, it feels like you are sitting in a cinema hall. The classrooms are big and the college has labs for every department. It even has a separate dark lab for performing optics practicals. The canteen is good and provides tasty food at cheap rates. There is also one large ground and a basketball court.
I did my bachelors in science from this college. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is also relevant to the field. Teachers here are very supportive and if you want to pursue your career in research or want to do masters in science, then I would definitely recommend you to be in touch with them.
I don't know much about the placements as B. Sc. students never sit for placements. But yes there is a placement cell with the name of "Ignite" that conducts regular placement drives for the students of commerce.
I paid around 20000 per year and yes it's worth the value that I received.
College campus is very great and is surrounded by greenery. Students can engage in many activities. There are societies for dance, music, photography, theatre, poetry, etc. which one can join. Our campus is situated at north camps and is very near to metro station.
The infrastructure of the college is very good. The college has all necessary equipment and facilities. Classrooms are very spacious and fully air-conditioned. It also has a large cricket ground, one big canteen, one library, one bank, one girl's hostel, and a fully air-conditioned auditorium. Apart from this, the college has a very beautiful place to hangout which is known as Jannat or Nukkad. Overall, I would say that Khalsa College has one of the best infrastructures of Delhi University.
I did my B. Sc. from Khalsa College. The teaching staff of the college is very knowledgeable. They support every student and are always there to help them. Teachers does not only provide knowledge of books but also provide practical knowledge to the students. The curriculum is also good and makes students ready in every aspect.
There is no placement for B. Sc. but for other courses, the placement record is good. The average package offered by the company is around 4-6 lakhs. The college also provides internship to its students. Few of the past recruiters are: TCS, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Wipro, etc.
As compared to other colleges of Delhi University, the fees is quite high but it is worth the facilities we get in the college. I paid around 18000 per year for my course.
Campus life is very good. The college is situated in North Campus and is at a walkable distance from Vishwavidhyala Metro Station. There are many societies to join and gain some experience. It also organises one of the best fests in Delhi University.
The college has everything that any college should have. It has one of the best libraries of Delhi University, the super large sports ground, and the best auditorium. The college literally has heaven at its center, known as "Jannat", a place worth spending your entire three years at! Some of the classrooms and laboratories are fully air-conditioned. The college also has its own botanical garden, a Gurudwara, two hostels, a canteen, and a branch of CCD!
I did my Bachelors of Science in Physical Sciences from this college. The quality of teaching was very good. The curriculum was well updated. All the teachers were highly supportive and were always ready to help. Even the non-teaching staff was very supportive.
Placements are pretty good. The name of the placement cell is Ignite. Ignite has been conducting on-campus placement drive since 2006. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Tech-Mahindra, IBM, Genpact, ICICI Prudential, EY, etc. have been few of the past recruiters.
Absolutely worth the money!
You will have your best college life here. You will get to enjoy the college fest Lashkara, DU elections, sports fest, other events organized by the societies of college and you will also get to witness the best plays of Ankur, which is the best theatre society of entire Delhi University. And being located in North campus, you will also get to enjoy college fests of other top colleges of DU such as Hindu, Miranda House, SRCC, Kirorimal, etc. I had my best college life here!
Hello aspirant
Gargi College has been an amazing college and ranked 16th in the NIRF 2021 ranking in the college category and it was ranked 16th in the NIRF 2020 college ranking. The college has been granted the Star College status by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India consecutively for 9 years.
sgtb college is also an excellent college with a credit in NAAC established in 1951 with 15 acres campus . it's a tough call to choose one of the college among these two .

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, New Delhi, will be the best option among the Gargi, ARSD, and Khalsa College if the distance is not the parameter.
SGTB Khalsa College is the oldest college with the best infrastructure and phenomenal teaching faculty. Every facility is available in this college.
For Maths Hons, I suggest you prefer SGTB Khalsa over other colleges; else, ARSD is not a bad option.

Hi.
OBC Students are allowed under General Category students in SGTB Khalsa, Delhi. This is so because the college does not cover OBC Category under Reserved Category and has allotted Categories to Sikh Minority, PwD, EWS and Kashmiri Migrant. The reservation category seats and the categories that benefit from this it is an internal and private matter for the institute administration and may or may not be revealed.
Good Luck
