Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore (Also known as: SREC Coimbatore)

SERC Coimbatore offers various technical and professional courses which include B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA. Admission to undergraduate courses (B.Tech) will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in their qualifying examination. Any student who wants to take admission in B.Tech must have secured minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination. For admission to postgraduate courses (M.Tech and MBA) candidates have to appear in national level entrance examination which are GATE and TANCET. Minimum eligibility criteria for postgraduate courses is 50% marks in the qualifying examination. Admission processes for admission to various courses offered by SERC along with eligibility criteria are discussed below:

Eligibility:

B.Tech

• Candidate should pass 10+2 with minimum average marks of 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

M.Tech

• Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) 

MBA

Candidate should fulfill any one of the following criteria:

• 10+2+3 years pattern (or)
• 10 + 3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern (or)
• B.E./B.Tech. courses

Admission:

B.Tech

• Candidates have to register and apply online on the website of Anna University. Students have to participate in Single Window Counseling by Anna University, Chennai, as per their norms.
• Admissions will be based on merit of the qualifying exam.  

M.Tech

• Candidates have to register and apply online.
• Admissions will be based on valid GATE Score or TANCET Exam.

MBA

• Candidates have to register and apply online.
• Admission will be based on TANCET Exam.
