Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research (SMIMER), Surat, is a renowned medical college to serve with quality medical care and medical education. Postgraduate admissions through MD and MS courses are done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG) test. For MBBS, applicants should have passed 10+2 Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects from a known board. A minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying exam is usually mandatory. For PG courses, the candidates should have passed MBBS from a known university.

SMIMER offers 250 seats for its MBBS programme. SMIMER Admission is based on the candidate's performance in NEET-UG. Eligible candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
SMIMER postgraduate programme has 24 seats. SMIMER Admission is through NEET-PG, and candidates must have an MBBS degree.
MD Anesthesiology: It has 19 seats, and admission is on the basis of NEET-PG performance.
MD Obstetrics and Gynaecology: It has 15 seats, and admission is by means of NEET-PG.
MD Paediatrics: It has 12 seats, and NEET-PG is the qualifying exam for the same.
MS Orthopaedics: It has 11 seats, and admission is on the basis of NEET-PG scores.
MS General Surgery: With 23 seats available, this programme also requires NEET-PG qualification for admission.
Diploma courses like Diploma in Public Health and Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology are also available, with NEET-PG ranking based admissions.

Different colleges have different fee structure .
Fee structure for private MBBS range from -20lacs to 35lacs for merit seat .
Whereas for deemed if ranges from 18lac per year to 20lacs per year.
And for IQ seat you have toh pay yearly fees plus the donation amount which is different for different colleges.

Hi, the eligibility criteria for step 1 and 2 are:
Student is officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a US or Canadian medical school leading to the MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree. Such US or Canadian medical school should be accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) which is an accrediting body for MD programs in the US & Canada and recognized by US Department of Education. [LCME Accredited US or Canadian medical schools].
OR
Student is officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a US medical school leading to the DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree. Such US medical school should be accredited by American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) which is an accrediting body for osteopathic schools, colleges & universities in the US and recognized by US Department of Education. [AOA Accredited US medical schools].
Or
Student is officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a medical school outside the US and Canada listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) which meets ECFMG eligibility requirements & criteria. [WDOMS listed medical schools outside US & Canada & meeting ECFMG criteria].
For step 3:
Student holds MD (or its equivalent; like MBBS) degree from LCME Accredited US or Canadian medical school OR ; Student holds DO degree from AOA Accredited US medical school OR ; Student holds MD (or its equivalent; like MBBS) degree from WDOMS listed medical school outside the US & Canada & possess ECFMG Certification.
And
Student has passed USMLE Step 1 and USMLE Step 2 [Clinical Skills (CS) as well as Clinical Knowledge (CK)]. Hope this helps.
