Batch of 2017 | BCA
Techno India College was established in the year 2001 initially with 4 AICTE approved Degree Engineering Courses. At present the college is running 12 UG courses and 3 PG courses. Geographical advantage of being in the Sector-V, Salt Lake, Kolkata- the IT Hub of West Bengal, the college enjoys overall advantages for easy communication. In addition, overall Infrastructure, Laboratory facilities, Dedicated Faculty Members and other ample amenities have placed this college as distinguished one in its class. The college faculty members are very supportive and knowledgeable. There are lots of cultural and music fests almost now and then in the college. It is quite a hot and happening place. The crowds are cool. The chance of placement is good. Last year 80% of the students got placements in good companies like WIPRO, Cognizant, Hp, Accenture and more. The hostel facilities are very good. The hostel is quite near. The transport and other facilities are very good in and around the campus. The fee structure is on the affordable side.

Techno- a boon

The college campus is of an average size, but it has the largest campus among all the other colleges in the Salt lake area, Calcutta. The faculty is good and supportive and the most important thing is that the college has a good placement record as well. The major recruiter here is T.C.S. and the average package is 3.5 lakhs per year. There are other companies as well which offer higher salaries, so if you are talented then you are sure to get a good package. The placement record from I.T department is above 85% and the overall placement is about 62%. I would suggest this college to any other student because the fee is quite low and it is worth the money because it provides you with good opportunities regarding placements, which according to me is the key feature and the most important thing.

Best college I could have got

Batch of 2017 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
Placements : The placements were good for my senior batch in 2016. An average of 75% students were placed in reputed companies. The highest package offered was 9 lakhs per annum by Microsoft and the average was 3 lakhs per annum. Companies that visited the university were - TIU-Instakart, IBM, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Videocon, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, Accenture, Fusion Charts, Johnson Controls, CGI, IBS Software, Asahi India Glass, Subex Ltd, Microsoft, Kreeti Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd, Hitachi Consulting, Cummins India Ltd, Juniper Networks, Juspay, The Sanmar Group, Basware Corporation, TDI Infrastructure Ltd, Innofied, Capgemini, Prime Focus Tech, Kovair Software, TCG Digital and Zycus. Some startup companies visited the university offering internships. The average stipend offered to students was rupees 2000 per month. Infrastructure : There's no denying that TIU has provided us with a great infrastructure. The classrooms of the university are well equipped with a white board, video projectors, projection screens and sound systems. The laboratories as well as classrooms are air-conditioned. In addition to this, Techno India University has a fully WiFi-enabled campus which provides an uninterrupted internet access facility for students. The computer labs are well equipped with computing resources. I am a bit dissatisfied with the library as it should have been more spacious. We have cultural, technical as well as sports fest every year which ignites the students in all the three fields mentioned. There is no canteen. No hostel, but there are PGs available nearby. Inside the campus, a branch of Punjab National Bank is also available for students and staff. I am extremely satisfied with the infrastructure provided by the university. Faculty : The faculty members of my college are well qualified and helpful too. From the first semester, I did find them too co-operating. The teaching methods are also modernized, with smart classes and laboratory experiences. We also have a facility of moodle, a website where study materials and other information related to college are updated. Student to faculty ratio is 80:20. The university should hire more faculty members for core subjects. Yes, we did get an industry exposure, as we have a special project for the Entrepreneurship Skill Development (ESD) which brings out our creativity and technical skills as well. Yes, the course curriculum was somewhat useful.

Batch of 2019 | BBA Hospital Management
The most interesting part of the college is that, each and every faculty of this institution are helpful and friendly.......... The faculty members tries to share their full knowledge with there students. They act as a private tutor........ Not only for education techno India is also famous for its extra curricular activity programmes. Blood donation camp, techfest each departmental fest are always there for the students for the refreshment from studies... Apart from that the most important thing is that every year good companies comes to this institution for taking up the students and put them in their companies. Campusing takes place recruitment too. No ragging is done in the management. All over its a good environment to take the knowledge and to participate in the programme which they held.

College life is okay, extra curricular is good. Faculty some are good, some not so good. Lastly placements, you can manage a 3.5 lpa even if you're average through your academic career. If you've future plan then it's a fine place. Only a few places in Kolkata can be said to be better.

TI in words

Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
It has been 2 years that I am a part of this college and unlike most other engineering colleges TI has got it's own sprawling campus in the heart of corporate offices. With its spacious classrooms, labs and innumerable facilities to support a student in upbringing, it has a good faculty to support the education system. However amidst all the cultural and technical clubs,it is hard to find a common on room or a canteen. TI arranges occasional lectures by eminent personalities in diverse fields and also promotes the ideas of innovation through it's tech fest, "EDGE". The cultural fest "ANACHRONOS" showcases the other talents in us. Our college has many clubs like IET,SPIE,GEEKONIX to provide us with experiences in technical fields and also to involve our creativity in our respective streams. It also has musical bands,ENIGMA-an official dance crew,TIFT-fashion crew, and a literary committee ECLECTICA,also a drama club. These encourage us to behold our latent talents. Coming to the placements, in recent years it has students hired by Amazon,Microsoft, IBM, TCS,ITC to name a few. Also our faculty has got a tie up with SAP. In all I would say TECHNO INDIA SALT LAKE has got it's own pros and cons and stands home to many personalities who pass out and create a definition of their own.

This is a private engineering college which provides proper placement but you don't need to sell your kidney to get enrolled. The drawbacks are a few, it is not the campus that you dream of, certain teachers might not exactly satisfy your thirst for knowledge(to put it lightly) bit again there are done who would make you want to go to college everyday. Another drawback is the crowd. The mentality of some people might just disgust you.

The experience of mine in Techno India Salt Lake has been nothing short of a joyride. From the finest faculty to fully furnished laboratories to a clean and healthy educational environment, the college has every essential ingredient to attract the brightest young minds in choosing an institution for their higher studies. Coupled with that, a fine record of placements and entrepreneurship opportunities this college provide give assurance to the students over the security of their future. A excellent environment for the proper growth of the vocational mind of an individual, I would definitely refer to future generations to consider this institution noteworthy.

Batch of 2020 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
Good environment with really helpful seniors and faculty. Down to earth students and friendly ambience . Great cultural fest and eastern india's secind largest tech fest . Clubs for recreation apart from studies . Inta competition for enhancing skills in robotics , codings , photography etc. Air conditioned computer labs , well furnished electrical and electronics lab and well equipped mechanical workshop . Good placement wise if you perform well with both good and mass companies opportunity. Located in IT hub of kolkata is a plus point . There activities for social cause too like rally , blood donation camps , donation of foods , clothes etc and a special programme for poor and disabled children is arranged too . On nut shell it offers a wide range of opportunities to enhance one's skill in all respect for the complete development . It has a poor infrastructure though still that is compensated by the other plus points . There are 2 internal exams held before the semester exams which is helpful to prepare and do well and sem exams . The fees is affordable as compared to other private colleges and students are good too its just the porson who has to grab the opportunity and succeed. Very supportive faculty and students who helps to achieve great things and are always appreciated . There are departmental fests too where there us opportunity to meet alumnis too and share there experience and bestow thm with all the respect and love. Farewell is organised too every year for the passing out batch . Meritorious students awarded and given scholarships too.

The faculty is good with most of them having good experience in their respective fields. I find them very cooperative and they are always willing to help the students. The college life is overall very good. There are a lot of training programmes to make the students job ready and the campusing is also good. Overall this is a very good college in the city.

I have spent 6 months in this college. The general faculty is quite good with few exceptions. The infrastructure is good but not that something to be proud of. The collge life is good. The seniors are of helping nature. One will experience free robotics, coding and various other workshops conducted by seniors. I don't have enough knowledge about placement. But I know a 4th year student very well who is also from Computer Science Department. He got job offers from three companies- TCS (R&D) , Intel and Delloit all three of them on campus. So I think for students interested in Computer Science Engineering its a good college.

I am rohit choudhary, a student of Techno India, in Kolkata pursuing for Bachelor\'s degree in business administration department. Our college have very experienced professors for clearing each and every doubt of the student and they also make sure that each and Every student takes a keen interest in their subjects. Our Daily routine has been arranged seeing the comfort of every student and, also that important subjects like Mathematics and managment are not left out. In our college, along with academics, stress is also laid upon the co-curricular activities for the overall development and grooming of the students. We get assignments regularly related to our syllabus. Our teachers try their best to provide us quality education and never step back to answer anyone\'s doubt. Our college is affiliated to WBUT and hence question papers come from there. In a semester we have to give two internal unit tests. Overall, I am happy where I am presently and the experience is brilliant

From d first day , it was like gud. After meeting some teachers, I found some of them r really knowledgeable but many others r there only bcoz of some relationships to the college administrators. They r really worst! The college should keep in mind dat they r playing wid students future by alotting such teachers. Seniors r helpful only if u have some extra qualities means if u can do something for ur department ,they l b there for u. Otherwise it's hard to get their help. Some teachers r really good! Examination process is d best thing here.. It will compel u to learn and study! If u want to have a job u must have good marks.. knowledge is not so important..this is according to some teachers teaching here...So they teach us for getting marks not for knowledge! College fests r awesome! Gender ratio is also gud! Overall a good college!

If I had to sum up my college life in one sentence,I would say it has been smooth. Getting out of the hangover of a school student to a college goer, wasn't easy. However Techno India made stuff a lot easier. Extremely helpful seniors and amiable faculty members made a frightened newcomer feel at home. Not only academics but ample prospects of co curricular activities made a sport lover like me extremely happy. So far placements have been good which takes the worry if getting a job after graduation out of the window. Overall it has been quite an amazing journey so far.

The green field give an atmosphere of freedom. The freedom to pursue what we want to. Professors and students have the sense of mutual respect. Yes different people congregate from all over the country hence initially it might have been difficult to adjust, however that's what new opportunities are about right? Exorbitant laboratories help to see beyond the yellow pages of the library books. Being a member of the dance crew, I have had golden opportunities and to participate in different competitions. Including the prestigious Spring Fest. The college has ongoing activities all year round to keep the students engaged. The experience has been worth it.

Students are poor at the intellectual level. Teachers are not well qualified and experienced and tend to slip into their Bengali tongue quite often. The journey from hostel to college is a great problem since the hostel is 4 to 5 kilometers away from the college. the hostel is good in terms of food and hygiene but the place where it is situated is boring. Very few students stay in the hostel, though(about 100 in all). You see it is very difficult to get a place in the hostel. Most of the students stay far away. Coming back to the college, it's labs are good but canteen is poor. There is absolutely no place for sports or extracurricular activities in here. Speaking about the placements, the placement of CSE and IT department is not very poor(60 out of 100 students approx. get a placement) but if you choose to be a civil, mechanical or an electrical engineer and care for a good job then you must avoid this college. thank you.

Getting placed is not a big deal . you will get a job from anywhere from where you study what you need more in a college is a campus life. This is what where you grow. you cannot sit here , you cannot walk here. it never seemed to be college. you cannot take some initiative among students. The infrastructure is just for your classes to happen but not for any recreation or your personal development. Don't know how it has been given a recognition of a university status also.

The college comes under Techno India University of technology. As far as infrastructure is concerned, it has the best among the private colleges in West Bengal. Most of the IT companies recruit from here. Average final placement is 80-85% which is pretty decent. Choices of subject offered is great from electronics and communication , computer science, electrical, electrical and instrumentation, mechanical, and food technology. Faculties are good and support the learning environment. They are approachable especially the electronics and computer science department. The college also boasts of organising the tech fest EDGE which is the second largest in eastern India. Science club is pretty active that holds various gaming and robotics events. In all, it was a good experience during my tenure of 4 years. I would highly recommend it.
