The campus infrastructure is moderate and developing. TINT offers basic academic facilities such as classrooms, lecture halls, computer labs, seminars halls, and a library with books and digital resources, though some students feel they could be better maintained with more modern equipment and additional amenities. Wi-Fi connectivity is available throughout much of the campus, and labs are generally functional but can sometimes lack the latest hardware. Several reviews mention clean classrooms and average canteen services, but issues like small campus space, occasional facility maintenance problems (e.g., fans, washrooms), and limited sports infrastructure have been pointed out too.
I am studying BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) because I have a strong interest in computers, software development, and programming. Techno International New Town offers a structured BCA program affiliated with MAKAUT, which provides a good foundation in computer science concepts and application-based learning. Quality of Teaching: The quality of teaching is average to good. Some faculty members are knowledgeable and explain concepts clearly, especially in programming subjects, while others focus more on theory. Teachers are generally helpful and supportive during exams and practical sessions. Curriculum & Updates: The curriculum follows the MAKAUT syllabus, which covers core subjects like programming, databases, networking, and web technologies. It is updated periodically, but practical exposure to the latest technologies like AI, cloud computing, and advanced frameworks needs more focus. Job Readiness: The course provides strong theoretical knowledge, but students need extra certifications, internships, and self-practice to become fully job-ready. Placement support is available, but personal skill development plays a major role.
The quality of placements at the college is average. The placement cell is active and organizes training sessions, mock interviews, and aptitude tests. Most companies that visit the campus offer entry-level roles in IT support, software services, and operations. Placement Percentage: Approximately 50–60% of students get placed each year, mainly from BCA, B.Tech, and MCA courses. Placement opportunities depend largely on student skills, attendance, and performance in training programs. Highest Salary Package: The highest salary package offered is around ₹5–6 LPA, mostly for engineering or MCA courses. For BCA students, the highest package generally ranges between ₹3–4 LPA. Average Salary Package: The average salary offered to BCA students is around ₹2–3 LPA, which is standard for entry-level IT roles. Placement Process & Support: The placement process is smooth and well-organized. The college is supportive and informs students in advance about placement drives. Faculty members and the placement cell guide students throughout the process, but students need to prepare well on their own to secure good offers.
The BCA course costs approximately ₹70,000–₹90,000 per year, which includes tuition fees and basic academic facilities. Additional expenses such as examination fees and study materials are separate. Value for Money: Yes, I feel the course provides reasonable value for money. The fees are affordable compared to many private colleges, and the college offers essential infrastructure, experienced faculty, and placement support. However, to get the best return on investment, students need to focus on self-learning, internships, and skill development beyond regular classes. --- If you want, I can also make this more positive, shorter, or more critical, depending on your requirement.
The campus of Techno International New Town is clean, organized, and functional, though it is relatively small in size. The best features include well-maintained classrooms, computer labs, a library, Wi-Fi connectivity, and seminar halls. The worst features are limited open space, average sports facilities, and occasional maintenance issues in washrooms and common areas. Student Activities: Students can engage in technical clubs, coding activities, cultural programs, seminars, workshops, and annual fests. Various student societies and events help improve communication skills, teamwork, and overall personality development. Students, Teachers & Staff: Students are friendly and diverse. Teachers are generally supportive and approachable, especially during exams and projects. The non-teaching and support staff are cooperative and help with administrative work. Location & Safety: The college is located in New Town, Kolkata, which is a well-developed and safe area with good transport connectivity. Security is available on campus, and the college can handle basic medical or emergency situations, though serious emergencies require nearby hospitals.
The college infrastructure is average and its laboratory has all the equipment in which most of them are in working condition but not all . My college has also a library which doesn't have a lot of books but it's facilities are good as the library is always clean.
I am pursuing CSE(AIML) as I am very interested in coding. The quality of teaching is good here , faculty interacts with the students in the classroom very well . My college is affiliated to MAKAUT so it's curriculum is updated and follow the guidelines of makaut .
Placements here is average . The highest package is about 32 lpa and average is of 4-5 lpa . As of 2025 , the placement record is not disclosed publicly , hope it will be public soon . College is supportive while placement .
If you want MAKAUT affiliated college in a good location then you can go for it because college location is very good as it is Newtown Kolkata where are many Corporate offices nearby and very good atmosphere.
It doesnt have all the necessary equipments. Fans dont work in some classes. Faculty very poor quality. Full department has only one duster. Only one dustbin for one floor. We dont have our own class we study in anothers colleges class
Very bad condition of academic. We give exam without doing classes. Very old fashioned and poor curriculum. Studies are not making us job ready. Very poor faculty. No skills at all. Cant even explain a topic without google.
Very bad placement. Techno giving placement is just a false rumour. The placement is very low. Even if you get placed you will be kicked out soon as you will not develop any skill due to poor teaching.
Total crap. I would request you not to destroy your future. My life is ruined.
Very small campus. Nothing is there.
1. There are most of the required equipment and facilities, the important part is that the authority is keen on updating the facilities. 2. Wi-Fi and whiteboards are there. Well maintained. 3. Cleaners are there at regular basis.
1. I studied Electrical Engineering , bachelors. The teaching quality is good. 2. I am not sure whether it could be said that the teaching quality makes one job ready, however the college tries to arrange for industrial trainings.
1. Placement is mediocre in Electrical like most of the private engineering colleges in West Bengal. 2. I can't remember that. 3. Average salary was slightly below the market. I could not speak of numbers as I passed in 2015.
Course fee was 3.5 lakh INR in 2015 (all inclusive). I am unaware of the current fees . If you get a decent paying job, it will be worthy for you. However, without getting a good job, it will be difficult, one may feel that its not worthy to spend.
The college campus was alright, it has a decent canteen too.
This college doesn't have good infrastructure and proper lab facilities. College wifi are always off. College workers are not coming regularly and the did their job as a formality. They did not have proper canteen and mess facilities in their hostels.
Very helpful teacher, good education Academic is very excellent all teachers very talented they are very friendly and supportive conduct different different sessions to improve skills and also focus more in practical knowledge and theory.
Good Only computer science students get placed with not more than 5 lpa package. It has only 5-10 companies visiting their campus. Teachers di not try to improve their placements facilities and lab facilities in this college.
As expected
Nice
Our college has almost everything except for the lift, and even though when it's get repaired , only faculties are allowed to use it..so it's a decent amount of excercise we have to do everyday..labs are in pretty decent condition, no problem with any monitors..class is generally clean all the time and our college has a nice library and a nice playground with greenary..over all infrastructure wise it's good.
I am doing BTech in IT here, and academic wise I didn't have much help from the faculties.. quality of teaching is average. Even though i must say I liked some professor's teaching style. (Ps. They are very strict about attendance)
This year (2023 ),the placement rates are dropping and very less companies had visited our college so one might say , this year's placement didn't go well, looking forward for upcoming years for better placements.
It costs me around 5 Lakh INR for 4 years and it's not worth a penny
Our college has a cafe and a canteen, that's where you will mostly find the students and we sometimes have fests and conference and the college authorities keep on conducting various competitions to engage the students in various activities.
The college has good infrastructure. The classrooms are neat and clean. The labs are perfectly maintaned and the network is superfast. The college also has seminar rooms which have smart projectors . The canteen is also nice and serves fresh food.
I am student of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. The faculty is pretty helpful and is always updated According to the latest makaut syllabus. The college also has T&P which helps students to actively engage in the campus placements.
Despite of the current recession we have seen that the last batch from our department has scored a very nice position in the campus placements. Great MNCs like TCS, Amazon, Capegemini and byjus came and recruited students last yyear. The average package was around 3-5 LPA.
I regret it .....they don't have any sports infrastructure....You can't follow your passion except studies.....they aren't that supportive(personal experience though).....they have some clubs but it hasn't any future....
Our most of the classes held during pandemic... So, I can't comment but after that offline classes are so much interesting that's why I bunked the most of the classes....Some teachers are really good...
Now, I'm in the last year still in our batch none above than .05 % are placed.... I can't blame only on college because it's the situation in every college because of recession.....they advertised so much MNC's in their advertisement but I don't feel they would come...
The simple answer is NO....... it's not worth it at all...I compromised my college life dude?.
Everywhere you go, you see SNU.... Like there is no existence of TINT.
Look juniors...I compromised my college life not only for college but also for the whole situation in that time created...So, I don't know the future of these college but in here I met some good teachers and luckily I got some genuine good friends....So, if someone ask me if he/she should join this college?? I say No......
The management took lot of money from the students in the lieu of giving good placement. But all they did was invest that money in transforming the college to look like a shooting venue for Bengali movies.
The curriculum was back dated and quality of teaching was subpar . Classes were not held regularly and more often than not doubts were cleared. No attention were given for raising queries as well. Theory and practical classes alike were not taken carefully.
No placement were done and all that the TPA said during admission was lie. None of the decent companies came for placement and they provided no guidance with regards to placement assistance during or post the graduation course.
The course costed around 150000/- INR just for semester fees. However this was not at all worth
The campus life was the worst of all. Teachers were so narrow minded and often shamed the students based on their lacking and belittled the students as well.
The overall rating of this college needs to be zero.
College have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, equipment. There is laboratory, library, playing ground. . Classrooms are also very clean . They are all well maintained. Food is also very hygienic.
I was studying b.tech civil engineering. The quality of teaching was very good. Faculties and college study culture was pretty good. They were very suppressed and helpful. And the environment was good enough.
Placement was average . The quality of placement was also pretty good. Many companies came to our college for campusing . May be 30% of students were placed . And many are off to do masters. The process was also good.
Course cost was around 3 lakh total.I feel it’s worth to spend money for this degree and college.
College campus was too much beautiful. There was a ground , cafeteria . Cafe . So many trees are there. Environment is very soothing. The surrounding is very calm . No outer disturbance was there . Student teacher relationship was also good .
