which is better....electrical engineering in NIT Silchar or VJTI

Hey,

Congratulations on being eligible for both these prestigious colleges. Both of them are great when it comes to reputation.

NIT Silchar would fetch you the NITian tag whereas VJTI is among the top and oldest engineering colleges in Maharashtra.

Coming to few differences between the two when it comes to choosing one college-

1)Placement statistics are slightly better at VJTI for electrical department, though it varies each year. The average package at VJTi is over 5 lakhs whereas at NIT Silchar, it is between 4.5-5 lakh in average. Few PSUs do visit both colleges with high packages.

2)Faculty is great at both places with most of them being PhD professors. Studies are very serious at NIT Silchar and it would provide you ample opportunities with research as well if it interests you.

3)Fees is not too high in both places. It is lesser at NIT Silchar.

You may choose based on your priorities like location, placements,fees etc.

I got 97.815 percentile in MH CET 2019. Which college can I apply for ? Is there a chance of getting into COEP or VJTI?

Congratulations for scoring such a high percentage in mhtcet entrance examination for admission in colleges under it for several courses. On this percentage you can apply for any college for any course .

If you are confused between COEP and VJIT then go for COEP this is one of the best college under mhtcet entrance examination for admission.

Hii Nishant. 90.88 %ile means 90.88% of students who appeared for this exam have scored less than or equal to you. That means 9.12% are ahead of you. And this year approximately 3.93 lakh students have appeared for the exam. So, your rank can be calculated as 9.12% of 393000 i.e. ~35841. Even with OBC, there is no chance of getting CS at VJTI, PICT, Walchand Sangli. But, yes you can try for ramdeobaba etc.

Can i get vjti cs/it with percentile of 99

Hi there .

Yes surely you will get VJTI , mumbai with this score . You scored great marks and you can be sure with these percentile in Jee .

Also you can get NIIT , but not CS . other than that , it is all clear . You must get CSE / IT easily .

will VJTI give admission on the basis of jee mains in 2019

Hello,
VJTI ( Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute), Mumbai is a Government college and it takes admission through MHT CET only and only Maharashtra State students are eligible to take admission in this college.
if you belong to Maharashtra state then you should try to score more than 160 marks in MHTCET to get top branches in this college.

I got 98.0175505 percentile in JEE Mains and 98.8369314 percentile in MHTCET. Can I get COEP or VJTI? Even SPIT or DJ Sanghvi?

With 98.8369 percentile in MHTCET your rank will be between 7 to 8k if approximately 3.82 lacs students appeared for MHTCET this year. With that rank COEP and VJTI are struck off. Their cutoff usually lie around 1-2k only. And with approximately 98 percentile your rank should be around 21k, here as well chances are pretty low.

Now coming to DJ Sanghvi the only branch you can land uo there with is Bio Medical Engineering.

So go for it if you are interested in biology too!

Hello ved, you have very good percentile in MHT CET getting that much percentile is still dream for many. And most of the college under MHT CET give admission on the basis of either percentile or rank. So according to me you will be able to get a college of your choice with the branch of your choice.

Sorry koli according to your above mentioned score it is not possible to get admission in veermata jijabai Technological Institute because its really to low.Don't get disheartened and try for some other college.

The campus span is huge. the campus has sports fields and amenities,facilities and functional. also the library is good having many important resources. overall the campus is good. and worth for money.

VJTI has a historic campus with colonial era buildings that give it an old school charm. labs and classrooms have been modernized, many departments still use older equipment. The library is spacious. overall college is good and clean.

The facilities and infrastructure available for the course/department, such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library, are very Good . The quality of the facilities in the hostel, the quality of the food available in the mess and canteen, the medical facilities, and the sports and games are all very Good .
