it is hard to predict the possibility as it highly depends on the number of students attempting the exam and what their preferences are. VIT does not release any official VITEEE cutoff as well making the predictions harder. Looking at the previous year trends we can say that it is slightly difficult for you to get ECE in VIT Chennai .

Usually, the seats get filled at 35k - 45k rank in Chennai and Vellore. Yet, You can try getting in via management quota.

You have a really good chance of getting VIT Amaravati / VIT Bhopal.

VIT does not release official VITEEE department wise cutoffs every year and hence it is hard to predict the situation.

But, based on previous year trends we can say that you have a good chance of getting ECE in category 2.

Usually the seats for ECE close at 40 k. So, looking at this we can say that it's a close brush. The closing rank will depend on the preferences of students and the number of students willing to take admission in VIT.

So, keep other options open. Regardless, you have an excellent chance of getting VIT AP or VIT Bhopal.

If we talk about for a particular field say engineering field,

We can say that these two college are way similar to each other in both placement and education wise.That means, both colleges provide quality education to their students and various opportunities for placements.

But as per the NIRF rankings 2021, VIT Chennai is ranked as a 12th best engineering institute of India,whereas ramiah is ranked at 59th position in engineering colleges.

Difference om the basis of other factors:

1. Campus wise ,VIT is much better than RIT.

2. There were more facilities in VIT in conparison with RIT  as due to huge strength VIT provides various platforms to showcase yourself.

3. Due to huge strength,  there is more competition in VIT than RIT.

So , never doubt on yourself  ,your hard plus smart work makes you a better personality and obviously an engineer.

It's a tough call to take that in 54k rank what branch you will get. There is as such no cut off for VIT campuses. It's just that if you rank is good then you will be invited to phase 1 of counselling then phase 2 of counselling whose rank is lower and likewise.

So, if the students opting for VIT Chennai is less then it is possible that you will get a good non core branch in this rank. Though I think you will atleast get cse branch in category 2 or 3 or at the worst case scenario it's specialisation branches and information technology branch.

But you will get a non core branch.You can be rest assured of that.

But, the cutoffs vary from one year to another, you might get seat basing upon the vacant seats and your reservation category. So, don't loose hope you might get the seat. Wait until the last round.

If it isn't possible to get the seat, then go for the management quota.
