Basically, VSJMC admissions occur through the Common Entrance Test applicable to all courses, thereby making the selection of candidates fair and competitive. Admission Process
All programs in the Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication have the same processes of application, which include:
1. Common Entrance Test (CET): A candidate intending to secure entry in CVS must first appear for the CET.
2. CUET Scores: Depending on the answering, applicants should also consider taking the Common Universal Entrance Test as a fallback, as these are used to fill vacant seats after the merit list based on the CET is exhausted.
3. Merit List Preparation: The university prepares its merit list by using the CET scores. For vacant places, merit list is separately prepared using CUET scores.
4. Document Submission: Candidates are now required to submit the identified essential documents. While specifics on what should be provided have not been specified, it is wise for candidates to keep all general education certificates, ID proofs, and any other such documents that may be relevant for the college handy.
5. Admission Confirmation: Admission is thereafter confirmed once verification of documents has taken place and the stipulated eligibility has been met by the candidate.
6. Fee Payment: After confirming admission, the candidates must pay the stipulated amount to complete the admission process.
Admission Process Degree-wise
BA Journalism and Mass Communication (BA JMC): This is a three-year undergraduation program conducted by VSJMC. Admission to the BA JMC happens through the CET merit. BJMC II shift: VSJMC offers Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication under a second shift as well.
