Vellore Institute of Technology is very good college. It's NAAC aggregate A+ college. There so many courses are offered and MSc physics one of them. Due to research it's really good private college. Infrastructure is very good. Free WiFi available always. Food is good here. Faculties are well educated.
The number of hours that you spend studying in a day will depend on your endurance.
I think rather than fixing time it would be better to fix the topics you would finish that day, and then accordingly set time required to cover those topics.
