Can someone please explain what is spot counseling?

Spot Counselling - After completion of all the counselling rounds, seat allotments. There are some vacant seats in the colleges which are not allocated or a student have left the seat even after allocation. So, to fill this vacant seats, last & final counselling is done & all the students who didn't get any seat in counselling are allowed to participate in this counseling to get seat in the vacant one.

Spot Counseling is basically on the spot Counseling. You're called according to your rank and are given options to choose from. You have to take decision on that very moment.
