Hi,

With a VITMEE rank around 2588, you do have a decent chance of getting MTech Biotechnology, especially since Biotechnology usually has comparatively lower competition than branches like CSE or VLSI.

Getting Category 1 at Vellore may be difficult at this rank, but chances for higher categories look more realistic. It would still be advisable to participate in counselling and keep multiple campus/category options open for safer chances.
