AVV Coimbatore has secured a rank of 1201- 1400th in the QS World Ranking 2027.
On June 2-3, 2026, AVV Coimbatore conducted a two-day international seminar on advanced polymer materials.
Amrita is a very reputed university with NIRF ranking 4.College have good infrastructure and facilities. Academics along with cultural activities are encouraged. libraries are very big with rare books which are good for reference in different exams
I'm pursuing integrated msc in chemistry because chemistry is actually interesting and creativw. The quality of twaching ia good. Faculties, professors are very much experienced and dedicated along with chemistry we study softskill and elective courses which are useful for future
They have a very good package for placement in every courses. Mostly in engineering stream the placement are highest with good salary. College is very supportive in placements the placement process are very pleasant and mannered
The campus on the whole is very big and beautiful. Facilities in the classrooms, labs, libraries and others are pretty decent. Hostel facilities can be better. The food provided in the hostel can be improved.
It is academically good. The curriculum is updated. The syllabus is set up in such a way that it can help you for competitive examinations. It can be hectic if it's not reviewed regularly. There'll be a lot of work especially in the senior years.
I'm still pursuing the course so I do not have much experience about it yet. But the placements in the previous batches were pretty decent according to what the seniors have mentioned especially in the engineering department.
It's worth only for the name it has. Nothing more.
It focuses a lot on academics and all the other extracurricular activities are comparatively given very less importance. There won't be much of college life and there are restrictions also. Eg. There is a pass system for going in and out of the campus and during your junior years you'll get only two passes a month. If you have good set of friends, then you can survive there.
The food is unhygienic. The infrastructure is basic but gets the job done. A lot of amenities are present on campus and the campus itself is very picturesque. The labs are well-maintained and stocked.
While the curriculum is up to date the faculty are a hit or miss. Either they're absolutely amazing and skilled professors or they're not. The curriculum as mentioned earlier is good and based off of UNESCO certified guidelines.
Although most courses have placements, that is not a privilege that can be enjoyed by Mass Communication students. It is sadly based on internships undertaken from the students side. As such, I am not one to quote about the placements of other courses.
The fees is high compared to most courses in India but the curriculum makes up for it. The teachers could've been better(some of them) and the campus is beautiful. The infrastructure is good and all facilities are present but they aren't modern.
Campus life is not the best due to the various restrictions put on the students in terms of the pass system and the various other restrictions. But overall it is indeed an very treasurable experience.
Nothing else to add. Overall it is indeed a place where the pros outweigh the cons enough to justify me recommending anyone to join the university. It is indeed the perfect university to create memories.
World class infrastructure. The 400 acre campus is well planned with infrastructure like academic buildings, adminstration wing, central library, hostels, guest house, staff-quarters, shopping complex, swimming pool and play grounds. The campus has built-up area of over 28 lakhs sq
Excellent Vishwa Vidyapeetham personifies multi-disciplinary academic excellence through the exceptional quality of its education system that is modern and comprehensive, with special emphasis on core human values. Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes are offered in Engineering, Business, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Journalism, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Arts and Sciences. curriculum.Amrita
95% placement Placements at Amrita have always been excellent. Be it Engineering or Arts and Science, students who are eligible and opt for placements have more than one job offer, on an average. Exercising their dream option, some of them have upto three job offers.
Worth it
The perfect undergraduate life one would wish for.
The main speciality of collage is its infrastructure. There is all necessory facilities for sports academics and other carricular activities. Collage has a big library which everyone can make use of.Living spaces are clean and hygiene.
I am studying physics here. Quality of teaching is not bad. Faculties are making use of all the facilties for teaching. Labs could have much more better in terms of availability of necessory stuffs.overall it's good.
Placements are more for engineering department. For integrated department placements are comparitively less. Very little percentage of students had only placed from integrated department. Collage is supportive in placement aspects..
Green campus good for studying and keeps mental health clean. labs,Liberty everything is huge and provides all the facilities. Collge provides you with a big ground, pool and everything for your studies and extra curriculum.
Syllabus is little tough .teaches and other staffs are good and provides you with good teaching and motivate you with everything. They do concern about our mental health and there is different department for understanding students.
Many institutions and companies approach the campus for placemats.salary vary with the company and students approach.college do train students for placements and motivate and support for the same. Student who do well can surely get placed with good salary.
Yes truly,it is 2lacks per year including hostel.many colleges now a days charge even 5lacks with less facilities. amrita have a good hostel with vegetarian food ,good rooms and more than 4 wardens and many other workers.
Campus life is good. they provide with clubs for dancing ,painting, singing and also for environment and many more. Collge also have a good and big fest and also celebrates many cultural festivals in a good manner.
Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham is a good college with cool infrastructure and ambience. We have a computer lab and studio. We have necessary photography equipment in the studio. They are well maintained with hostel, good food and many canteens.
We have expert faculties. They are always available. We follow UNESCO model and it gets updated accordingly. After the degree, we believe strongly that we will be able to work in the area of our interest.
We do not know any alumni who are unemployed. Some has done extremely good in their careers and now are placed in foreign countries. Salary pack minimum from Rupees 8K. It can go till lakhs per month as far as I know. There are seniors who reached such heights.
1 lac 13 thousand is our fees. Its a three year course. I am not a hosteller. I feel money is worth because of good faculties and knowledge I get. However, due to the pandemic we missed our college campus. Thus I am not good to answer this question. Its
It could have been a good life. However, Pandemic dropped it all. I could enjoy one year of campus life. We had extraordinary opportunities in the form of events and competitions through which we can explore our talents.
If you are very much concerned about studying mass communication choose Amrita. Even though expense is high, it is worth if you are in college. Do participate and enjoy campus life. Never miss out hostel life with amazing opportunities lined up.
Amrita University, Coimbatore has a very good infrastructure which attracts many students to join the college. College life here is good but you cannot expect complete freedom here . It takes little bit of time to adjust to the rules and regulations. Classrooms are well equipped with green boards, projectors and labs have the latest equipments. Hostel mess food is not so bad comparatively better than other colleges. 24*7 water supply is not available. Needless restrictions on entry and exit.
The quality of teaching depends upon the teacher. There are excellent well experienced teachers as well as few teachers who doesn't even have proper communication or teaching skills. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.
Majority of the students got their jobs through their own efforts, experiences and contacts. The quality of placement for this course is comparatively good in other Amrita campuses. Alumni network is also good .
Infrastructure is top notch . It has all the needed facilities . Hygiene standards are highly maintained and it is a great positive . They effectively provide good facilities to all the students in the hostel , as well as day scholars
In-depth teaching helps every student to know their own pros and cons . More of a practical approach which was followed really was useful . They want the students to learn , not just study stuffs for the sake of exams
It's yet to be informed to us as Im in my final year currently . As far as I know , Placement which can have a long life after just completing UG is tough . If you really plan to take this course as a career , better study masters
It may be worthy if students get placements for sure as promised by the institution . And In the online mode of learning , I wont recommend people to choose Amrita as this course incoelrporates many software learning
Many extra curricular activities happen inside and people are given enough freedom to explore as per their wish
Considering the current pandemic situation , paying such higher fees for amrita is not recommended
The college offers good and commentable infrastructure. The college library is one thing to be highlighted with a huge collection of books and study materials. Out department has offers studio exposure for the students.
I did my post-graduation in Mass Communication. I was there at the campus only during my 1st year. I completed the 3rd and 4th semesters via online due to Covid pandemic. Overall academics was good and smooth during the on-campus period. But later during the online class, I felt like the academic exposure in terms of teaching was a little low.Howevere institution managed to have their own platform for all the academic purposes, reaching all the students, maintaining quality and confidentiality.
Placements are highly offered for engineering and MBA students but for our department, especially due to the Covid pandemic, placements offers were rare. None of us from our batch was offered placement opportunities. However, the faculties do share us some mails regarding jobs/internship offers but we find them not so worthy.
We are not happy when it comes to value for money, since we didn't receive any placements. Moreover, we didn't receive any campus exposure or practical skills during the final year since the class was online, yet the academic fee remained the same without any reduction.
The college life was the best. Although I could enjoy the campus life only for 8 months, it was a good experience. The campus, amenities, teachers and the staff are supportive.
Offline classes (inside the campus) are way better and more worthy than taking online classes
Hello,
Yes, Amrita does consider Class 12 marks , including State Board marks , for some admissions and scholarship categories. State Board students are absolutely eligible to apply.
However, for B.Tech admissions , scholarship seats are mainly based on AEEE rank or JEE Main score , not only on Class
Hello Dear Student,
With an AEEL rank of 355, you have a strong chance of securing a merit seat at Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi. Based on previous admission trends, candidates with ranks in this range are generally considered competitive for merit-based admissions. However, seat allotment will ultimately depend on
