But you will not get admission in Anna University due to heavy competition from local state board students who gets easily above 90% in the state board. The score of students selected for Anna University group of colleges are in the range 90 to 100 percent marks in PCM subjects.

Hi Faiqa, there are only two ways by which one can get admission here for engineering at Anna University. One way is through any entrance exam scores or through their counselling process of the 12th state board exams. There is quota for state students as well as other state students based on the 12th exam scores of Maths, Physics and Chemistry. You need to register for that counselling process for which they would provide the firther steps.

By part time if you meant DISTANCE MBA then below is the procedure:

you need to appear for the DISTANCE EDUCATION ENTRANCE TEST (DEET) .  DEET is Conducted in feb every year 

The syllabus for the same is :

DATA ANALYSIS,COMPREHENSION SKILL,BASIC QUANTITATIVE ABILITY AND WRITTEN ENGLISH.

100 question and time to answer is 2hours. 

I would recommend you to stay in touch with the admission cell,Anna university.

Hi Kumar, generally the cutoff varies every year based on various factors like number of test takers number of seats available difficulty level of exams etc. However going by the past cutoffs, there are good chances to get a seat in Anna University. Generally the cutoff is around the qualifying marks and to 4-5 marks above qualifying marks of gate.

Hey Rajesh,

Previous year GATE Marks for getting a seat in Instrumentation M.E. programs at Anna University was 12 to 15 marks for Instrumentation engineering. So, by seeing your score of 372 in the GATE Examination this year, you may get M.E. in Mechatronics engineering at Anna university. Let's hope for the best.

No there is no need to appear for TANCET as the Candidates who have cleared the GATE exam in the same year will be exempted from appearing in the TANCET exam.

The merit list for admission will be prepared based on the marks obtained and rank secured in the TANCET exam or the GATE score.

I am sharing some more details about the counselling process that will be helpful for you:

The counselling and Admissions is held through a separate process. candidates who have qualified the GATE or TANCET will be allowed to apply sepaprately for the counselling. separate lists will be prepared accornding to the entrance exams and the seat allotment is done strictly according to the seat obtained by the candidate.

To get seats in ANNA University you have to fulfill following elligibility criteria:

Candidate who have passed class 8,9,10,11and 12 standards in Tamil Nadu are elligible for seat allocation.Such candidate don't require native certificate.Otherwise domice required for admission.For more details visit below mention link:
