KRCE - K Ramakrishnan College of Engineering Tiruchirappalli is a better option.

In KREC, about 4 or 5 top companies visit for placements, and many BPO companies recruit most of the students. TCS, Wipro, Zoho are the important companies for the college. There are many coding contests used for recruitment. So, KREC has good placement system.

The infrastructure of KRCE is a good one. It has four departments. The CSE, mechanical, ECE, and EEE are the departments of KRCE. There is a great library. The sub-block contains vegetarian and non-vegetarian canteen. The hostels are there for boys and girls separately. Only, some Wi-Fi modems are used.

The faculty members of KRCE do not work for their salary, but they give their best. In every week, there is a unit test for the students. When the student gets below 40 marks, then they are trained to get more than 40 marks.

You may not get a seat in mechanical engineering in anna University through gate by this score. If your score is good enough I. Tancet then you can get mechanical engineering. Anna University accepts both gate and tancet marks. 

Selection is done on the basis of any one of the following:

• Candidates having a valid TANCET Score are selected for admission to M. Tech/M.E.
• Candidates who are GATE qualified can participate directly in the counseling session.

The date for Commencement of Registration in Person /internet is 15 July 

The cutoff marks for the TANCET for MBA course were 30.200 for the MBC category candidate in RMK engineering college, Gummidipoondi, Thiruvallur for the previous year. Now based on your marks you have the following institiutes for the MBA course.

• University of Madras, Chepauk with the marks 47
  
• Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar  College of engineering, Kancheepuram with 43.667
  
• Thiagarjar School of Management, Madurai with marks 40.333
  
• Kumaraguru college of technology, chinnavedampatti post, coimbatore with 39.667
  
• St. Joseph's college of engineering, OMR, Chennai with marks 35.333

Your caste/category plays an important role. If you are from SC/ST/OBC you have an advantage of reservation but if not chances are very low.

Considering you're talking about your chances in Mtech, and as per the previous year cutoff trends, the cutoff score for a  general category candidate in University departments of Anna University, CEG was 51. Since cutoffs change every year and your score is just on the borderline, you seem to have slight chances of getting admission in this college. However, keep a lookout for other colleges as well to keep your options open.
