The infrastructure of university is very good. Hygiene is maintained properly in hostels as well as in academic blocks also. In hostels we are having wifi facilities also and food is average. But overall it is good.
The overall academic status is good. Staff put log of effort. But not every faculty member is putting that much of effort and due to corona the level of studies is decrease beacuse on online platforms students can't study well
The placements in Chandigarh University is good. They primarily focus on placements. The highest package offered in chandigarh University is of 35 lakh and it goes to CSE department. The average package is 5 to 6 lakh
I'm a computer svscience student and my course cost is per semester. And I pay 80000 for single semester and for year it is 160000. When the campus was open I feel like I was getting my money worth but now in online mode it is worthless
Campus is very good. Chandigarh University has large campus. They are having abundant activities on campus. The staff and students are good in nature. And chandigarh University is not in chandigarh so that is minus point. But It can handle the emergency situations because it near to Mohali and every hospital is easily approachable.
Overall chandigarh University is a good college. It primarily focus on placements and also good in extra curriculum activities. It provide scholarship also to the students who secure more that 90% marks in 12th and 10th
The campus of Chandigarh University is a fully residential campus that accommodates all the students. The classrooms and lecture halls are spacious and can seat people in great numbers. Chandigarh University campus has hostels for boys and girls that have all amenities. The hostels are equipped with canteens, balconies, common rooms, playgrounds and sports grounds, and gardens. The hostels are located near the main building of the college so that students can reach their classes easily.
I am pursuing BE-CSE and why because it has a wider field of knowledge about computer science so we get knowledge about how system works.. quality is teaching is very good.. yes it includes all recent developments.. yes with the help of tpp amcat exams mandatory projects makes us job ready
Chandigarh University provides great placement facilities to its students. The placement record of Chandigarh University has always been commendable. Many national and international companies visit the campus of Chandigarh University for the placement drive. Students of all disciplines and courses get the opportunity to sit for the company and job profile they wish to pursue a career in. Many famous companies come for the campus placement drive at Chandigarh University
Yes , the college provide all necessary infrastructure and facilities along with workshop practices. The college provide the smart classes in each block , wifi equipped labs , 14 blocks , each block with libraries , block specific labs , food courts , student center . The spaces are cleaned regularly and maintain proper hygiene in the campus.
The teachers are well trained and provide good moral support and carrier guidance . The university has the curriculum of relative grading and thus makes the marking system more fair. Each semester from the second year has a credit project in the curriculum which is to be done by every student . Separate lectures for theory ,tutorial and labs . The university also provide the training placement program with aptitude , soft skills and technical programs with weekly Tests.
The highest package offered was 35 lacks in CSE branch with 90% placement . More than 100 students got the package above 10 LPA and around 600 students above 5 LPA . The Average salary lies in the range 5 to 6 LPA and every year there is spike in average and highest package .
80000 is charged per semester as academic fees and 86000 annually for hostels. The freshers may pay around 640000 to 700000 as the total academic fee for 4 years and approx 350000 as total hostel fee for 4 years in the bachelor's degree.
The campus life is the best which offers regular club activities in the field of arts , music , dance , events , coding etc. The students can also join the events team for organizing fests . There are 3 to 4 major fests organized in a year . The campus is equipped with all the safety measures and regular screening at each gate whether it is the hostel , main gate or the block . Students need to get a pass for the day out or night out which is to be approved by the warden .
Overall the university offers the best curriculum in terms of teaching , placement , management , activities , professionalism and student care support .
Chandigarh University has a very well-built infrastructure for the students. You will find separate building blocks for every course offered by them. It has canteen shops almost outside every block. In the classroom, they have well-furnished desks with marble-plated floors. Smartboards are only available in laboratories and some project-oriented classes. Hostels are very much disciplined and there is no place for ragging. Food is also good in the hostel mess with a park outside every hostel.
For computer science students, the curriculum is well organized. Teaching quality is good in both online as well as offline modes. The curriculum selected by the committee is updated and it looks after the needs of the student. Starting in the 3rd year, they start preparing you for placements. They take evening and Sunday classes to enhance their student skills. In addition to this, one must always do self-study to achieve greater heights in his/her career.
Placements are just outstanding at Chandigarh University. More than 500 companies come every year to recruit students from their campuses. Companies like Infosys, TCS do mass recruiting while big MNCs like Amazon, Microsoft, etc also give a decent amount of packages to the students. They have won limca book of records for the best placements in North India. They are also awarded NAAC A++ for their outstanding performance at placements.
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science Engineering(BE-CSE) costs 80K per semester. And the money they are taking for the course worth every penny as I see of now. They teach with the latest technologies in this online mode and it is working well. Exams have been conducting very well in a good manner.
"Campus life is the best life", it is truly said by a wise man. Chandigarh University's campus is just marvelous. They have greenery everywhere with parks and gardens. Eatable shops at every distance. Food quality is very good. Students can learn dance, singing or any sport of their choice. The staff of CU is helpful in every aspect whether it is related to college or someone's personal problem. They have a medical center on the campus which is open 24x7.
The college is fully equipped with all the necessary equipment. The college has a different block for bba and is also university school of business. The classes are very large with a capacity of around 150 students. The classrooms are non ac and have projectors. There is a library in the block. We have a sports center where you will find every sports. hostels are also available.
I am pursuing bba. The teachers are good and have a good amount of industry experience. The teaching quality is also good. The syllabus is updated and fulfills the current industry requirements. The teachers are young.
Placements are average. If you have a good profile you can grab high package also. There are enough opportunities for placements. Almost 80% of the batch get placed. There is a special department for placement.
My fees for a year was 90 thousand. I don't feel that i am getting value for my money. The college should ask a fees of 60 thousand for bba. Ninety is thousand is too much.
College campus is very big. The best feature is it is having every facility you can dream off. And the worst features is its location. It is 20kms away from chandigarh.
The college infrastructure is so good everywhere there is greenry, such a soothing environment, we had tuck shops near every block, had eating points near every block. The hygiene level is extreme, the whole campus is neat and clean, we had wifi in university campus, Projectors in classroom well ventilated rooms
I studied Bcom(hons) in auditing & taxation The whole curriculum is based on the recent development in the economy with grooming skills that made u ready for the job , we used to have soft skills communication classes that made us ready for future endeavours
The quality of placement was quite good even there were alot of companies that approached us in graduation, even we used to have daily companies approaching us! For bcom hons the average package amounts to be like ₹25k per month
In 2016 the course cost me around 70,000/- per year but as per my academic excellence i got 50% scholarship based on my 12th marks and the value for money is quite good, they make us learn alot and that is total value for money
Campus is so big but it has every amenities near you ! You don’t have to rush for a long time in case of emergencies, they even have their private ambulances in case of emergency, we had dispensary near us. Teacher support staff are quite good even we can approach them any time we want to
I even get toppers rewards like ₹20,000 as a topper reqard in university consecutively for 3 years and this gives much more motivation
College infrastructure is well developed and modern. You can benefits from this side. They have their own Food restaurants type canteens. Hostel are modern and clean. But they're very strict about timing and descipline.
Actually they're not focusing on quality of education from past 2-3 years i don't know completely because what i observed things need to improve in the field of education. They just care about fees also if you got any scholarship they will never want that you can continue your scholarship.
Again Placements are also average here due to lot of competition you really need to work hard to get placed in average IT companies. But most of the time you need to apply for off campus or through social media.
Never ever it can be a value for money choice they are taking double money than they actually deserves. The college is actually running a business and in this business not their costumers are dissatisfied also their employees are dissatisfied too.
If your batch mates are awesome campus life will also be awesome no matter how the environment will be.
Just don't trust on ads and paid promotions reality hits different here just go with honest reviews which are available on YouTube.
Ok... So I have just took an admission in Chandigarh University, so I have not visited the campus yet but my few friends have studied there told me that infrastructure is good here... Here Computer Labs are completely equipped with all the necessary items like PCs, Arduino Kits, Wifi connections and all. There is a huge library and we can read any book we want. Taking about the hostel food then my friends said that it is good, not like home but eatable. Here all types of grounds are available.
Talking about academics... now a days due to pandemic we all are attending online classes. For that CU has a separate Interface called BlackBoard. Which is quite good because we have all the things in one place like classes, assignments, calendar, upcoming events, webinars all things in one interface. It also has recorded lectures by which we can study through these lectures at anytime we want. From the first year they started to develop the communication skills in you which is super important.
Honestly... Placements are not that good at CU. Yeah the percentage of students placed is good but maximum companies came to CU for mass recruitment. Like hundred of students are taken by single company at low package like 3-4 LPA. Approximately 15-20 percent students got an package of 5-7 LPA. And only few students got the dream package of 10-15 LPA. The highest package fluctuate every year but it is somewhere around 19-35 LPA. And the average package for Bachelor of engineering is around 6 LPA
If I talk about fees structure, then for BE in Computer Science has a fees of 1.6 lakh pre year. But One thing is very good at CU is, it conducts the entrance exam and on the basis of that it provide us the scholarship which is very helpful all of us. But if you ask me is it worth it or not then I say yes it is. Because it provide us the excellent infrastructure and facilities in this fees. If we compare this to other universities then it is value for money.
I haven't visited campus yet but according to my friends who have studied there: 1.Campus life is Awesome 2.There are fests are organized, some sports events, and seminars. 3. There are the huge diversity of students in collage, there are some international students are also there. 4. Some of the teachers are very supportive, they listen our quires and try to solve them. But not all teachers are like that. 5. It is completely safe, total security in the campus with biometric entrance.
If you haven't got any top institutes like IIT, NIT and IIIT... Then you can surly consider the Chandigarh University for you future.
One of the best infrastructure in North India. The cafetria and food courts are amazing. I recently graduated and now I found the infrastructure is much better. Air conditioner labs. Hostel food is also good
I did Bachelors in journalism and mass communication from Chandigarh University. I found the teachers and other staff fine. But there are lack of equipments like camera, lights etc. And all the stuff are not up to date
100% placemnents not provided my chandigarh University. You have to do own your own. Company or any media house offer 10k to 20k salary after graduation. Which i think is quite low. I did journalism and mass communication
Average
Crowd is very nice
Infrastructure is really good and upto the mark of quality colleges. Very nicely built and blocks feel really nice to go to everyday. Infact we commonly see shooting happening in our college just because of infrastructure.
Academic planning is really good and lot of opportunities are here. Academic planning is done really according how a person should learn in his or her course and it kinda makes the students ready for the upcoming challenges
Placements are really well and great. Average package is 3 to 4 lpa but you can get more if you have the ability. Placements are mainly focused on IT field, for MBA and hotel management. Other than that many good sales profiles also come for placements
Great value for money. Infrastructure fills the bottle till the neck when it comes to value for money. After that placements are always there to fill the level out of the bottle. In short 100 percent worth for money
Campus life is really great and no ragging. Very much controlled campus. Never seen any bad incident happening in the campus. Guards here know their responsibility well and keep control in a very nice manner that isn't harsh for students and not at all bad
Very nice experience overall. Would give it 95 Percent out of 100. Even in this pandemic students were able to get placements and many of us are enjoying our futher lives in good MNCs. It also gives huge scholarships for the needy people
