B.A. (H) Economics programme at the Delhi Technological University's East Delhi Campus provides a sound understanding of core, pure and applied economics. The four-year programme is structured in 8 semesters. While students study economics in considerable depth in this specialized degree, students also employ ideas and techniques from many other disciplines too; including econometrics, mathematics and statistics, and other ability enhancement courses. Apart from building core knowledge in economics, the course permits students to adopt electives of their interest in finance and management subjects. The programme is designed as per the varying interests and career ambitions in the emerging areas of economics. Therefore, our graduates are extremely well qualified for a wide range of jobs and further courses.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have scored at least 50% marks in 12th board examination from a recognized board and must also have passed Mathematics as a subject in the 12th Board Examination. Those who are appearing in the examination may also apply, provided that they submit the proof of eligibility by a specific date declared by the University.

Admission Details

The merit list shall be drawn on the basis of best of four subjects (including Mathematics) in XII Board examination or its equivalent examination. Vocational courses (as specified in the CBSE list) will not recognized in the best four subjects.

College Infrastructure

The college's infrastructure is good, but it could be better. Specially, the walls need to be repainted. The building has started to look old and has blackened. Other than that, the infrastructure is satisfactory.

Great academics in a compact, modern campus.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at the East Campus (Vivek Vihar) is modern but compact. The best part is that the entire academic block, including classrooms and the library, is fully air-conditioned, which is a lifesaver in Delhi summers and something even North Campus colleges often lack. The library is state-of-the-art with a great collection of Economics and business books. The computer labs are well-equipped with software like SPSS and R for our labs. However, you must know that this is not the main Bawana campus. The campus is small (about 2 acres). We do not have vast playgrounds; sports facilities are limited to a small basketball/volleyball court and indoor games like TT and Carrom. Crucial Note on Hostels: There are NO on-campus hostels at the East Campus. Most of us live in PGs or flats in Vivek Vihar, Karkardooma, or Dilshad Garden. The mess food is irrelevant since there is no hostel mess, but the campus canteen is decent and hygienic.

Till date overall experience is good.

The college infrastructure is good and well planned. However , improvement is needed in the cateen, seating areas , sports facilities , computer labs and Wi-Fi connectivity to enhance the overall student experience
