Hello tanjith,
Hope you're doing well.
Here, i'll provide you with the details of both of these courses:-
1. Btech+ MBA at IIIT Gwalior.
Fees : INR 6.7 Lakhs (approx).
Duration: 5 years.
Faculty : the faculty here is qualified, but the system or thr curriculum is archaic. The students reviwed them to be this. They are given a lot of assignments, and they have so many exams. New technology is hardly considered.
Placements : placements for tech is really good here. Almost 80 percent of the students get placed from tech field. But for management, there are some companies such as TCS, infosys, Practo who recruit students. Last year, average package was around 6-7 LPA.
2. IIIT nagpur
Fees : 8.51 lakhs approx.
Duration : 4 years.
Faculty : the faculty here is qualified, and focussed and consider the new trends in technology. They have subjects which are new to tech field and are focused on them.
Placements : it has just been around 2 years when the college started, so it doesn't have any verified placements record. But, companies who are mass recruiters like TCS, ADCC are their partners. It has made mandatory internships for students which enhances the skills and will help in placements.
Hello Aspirant,
Definitely! IIIT Naya Raipur in every aspect. IIIT Naya Raipur has a fully developed and a beautiful campus whereas IIIT Pune is still in the developing phase .If you look into the academic side, both the colleges have almost the same curriculum, but if you particularly see in the ECE department of both colleges, you will see that IIIT Naya Raipur is far ahead than IIIT Pune in fields related to VLSI, embedded systems and other fields. IIIT Naya Raipur has conducted its annual Technical-Cultural fest, i.e., TECHNOVATE for the past three consecutive three years in which celebrities like Gajendra Verma, Rahul Subramanian, and many others performed, whereas IIIT Pune is still struggling to conduct its first annual fest. You will see that the first batch of IIIT-NR banged a very good placement, with an average CTC of 7.5 lacs, which other new IIITs failed badly to get a satisfactory placement. If you look into IIIT Pune it is still going to happen for the first time of the first batch .
Dear aspirant
The choice entirely depends up to you . If your passion lies in software engineering or computer programming the you should opt for IIT nagpur and if your passion lies on core industry or chemical engineering then you should opt for VNIT nagpur . But if you ask institute wise which is better than VNIT nagpur is obviously the better choice than IIIT nagpur as it has better placement scenario
You can check VNIT cut offs in our link

Best wishes.
Hello,
Yes,these new IIITs are continuously in improving stage, and are getting better with every passing year.
Considering your pwd quota, definitely you have very high chances of getting into the mentioned college. But probably you will have to wait for few rounds.Last year cutoff for CS branch Gen-pwd has been around 60percentile.
Hope that helps;
Hii ,
Indian institute of information technology Nagpur is one of the leading University located in Nagpur. IIIT Nagpur was approved by Government of India and ministry of Human resource development. The hostel facilities and Food are not good. Wifi facility is available in the hostel. For ECE,CSE and IT the placements are good enough.
Hi Candidate,
I suggest you to wait for NIT Nagpur/IIIT Nagpur. The college has great reviews about its infrastructure and faculty. The placements are very good as expected from NIT's/IIT's. Many top MNC's visit the college with great packages. Thus I suggest you to wait for the results of second councelling
Hello,
IIIT Pune Anyday.
IIIT Pune is really shaping up and will be really beneficial as Pune is IT HUB which will give you heap of opportunities.
IIIT Nagpur is not fit now to take the admission here, current scenario is very disturbing.
Thanku.
Hi,
Among the two options, I would suggest you to go for IIIT Nagpur since it's CSE that you are getting. Both these colleges are comparatively new but agave prolific faculty and hence one can expect good placements too. As a branch, CSE obviously has more scope for the job market which is why most people prefer the stream. However, if Electronics interests you more, you can go for it since the institute is equally good.
Take a final call based on priorities like course, location, placements etc.
All the best!
Hii,i am here to help you according to your query.Firstly let's clear up, which two colleges we are going to compare !!!
INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY,NAGPUR (IIIT)
VISHWAKARMA INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY,PUNE (VIIT)
So lets begin……
IIIT is a central government idea to enhance the development of IT sector ( with partial contribution of state govt and industries), where VIIT is a private institute maintained by BRACT.
As per as education is concerned IIIT is way better than VIIT.
BECAUSE…
IIIT has Professors from VNIT having hell lot of experience of teaching which is great thing, that you will not find in VIIT☺️.
As per my knowledge IIIT only take admissions for computer and electronics & communication while in VIIT there are total 5 branches. So it will be better if you take admissions in IIIT, you will get more opportunities in your intrests.
Good facilities like wifi, library, laboratories, sports and recreational activities in IIIT pull me towards it rather in VIIT.
3. Infrastructure :
Infrastructure also make lot of difference if we compare both college. If I have to rate it out of 10 then….
IIIT: 9/10
VIIT: 6/10
Let me talk about computer engineering at VIIT…
It is the 2nd best branch at VIIT according to placements, overall facilities and teaching. If you are placement biased then VIIT is good college, companies with avg ctc 5.5 do visit the campus. But if you are from Nagpur I recommend you to take admission in IIIT.
4. FEES :
I came across one article on the web described that fees of IIIT are around 1.35 lakh for a year but in VIIT you have to pay 1.14 lakh per year if you belong to open category.
The college infrastructure is new and therefore some more development is required which will be done in upcoming years of course. Otherwise the college provides proper classrooms, library, reading rooms, canteen, amphitheatre, etc.
IIIT Nagpur consist of all the basic infrastructure required for smooth conduction of academic as well as non-academic activities. The college has shifted to its permanent campus recently and it spreads over 100 acres. However, large chunk of the campus area is still needs to be developed.
Batch of 21 have to compromize with VNIT campus .but in dec of 2021 all the student were shifted permenently to new beautiful 60 acres campus of IIIT nagpur.IIIT Nagpur has now shifted to the new campus, which has all high-class facilities. There is a good Wi-Fi facility. The food served in the mess is not good but edible. The hostel is good, and there is no night mess.
