Process of placement at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur

The process of placement of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur starts early up, to give their students a good head start. Several stages are covered in the entire procedure held by the training and placement cell of the institute.

Stage 1

In this stage, the training and placement cell of the IIIT, Nagpur contacts various companies and their recruitment cells. The institute sends their placement brochures to the companies for approval. Those companies who show interest in holding their recruitment drive in the institute accept the initiation.

Stage 2

Now, the students are made aware of the company, which is to visit the campus for placement. They are given details like the eligibility criteria, the date, the special instructions etc. T&P cell then starts registering students for the placement drive and will also submit the documents asked.

Stage 3

Now, on the day of the placement, the companies tend to hold an orientation for the students to clear their doubts and clarify company policies. After this, the placement drive starts as per the company's requirements.

Stage 4

The students will have to take part in the stage-wise selection process for the position. One will have to undergo a written test, group discussions, a technical round and a personal interview in the end.

Stage 5

The selected students are given the offer letter. The students will have 24 hours to accept the offer; the offer letter will go null and void after that if not accepted. Also, the institute has a 'one student one offer' policy. Means, if one gets an offer from one company; one cannot appear in another company's placement round.
