Iit bhu is worth joining whether it is near or far from your place. The placements are excellent of electronics and of course you need to move out from your comfort zone sometimes to achieve something. What matters the most is the placements of that college.
1. 100% students got placement from electronics branch every year.
2. The highest package 1.5 crores (2019), the lowest packages around 15 Lacs, and average around 23 Lacs
3. Google, microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Goldman Sachs and many more.
4. Above 95% students got internship from electronic branch some time it reaches 100%
5. Top role are SDE, management. Etc.
So you should be tension free and go ahead with the allotted institute.

First of all, it is an IIT you are talking about. IITs are supposed to be Institutes of National Importance , so do not underestimate the faculty and academics in the Mechanical department of IIT Madras. IIT Madras is about 61 years old and has been rated the top engineering institution by the National Institutional Ranking Framework for four consecutive years - 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The infrastructure is no doubt the amplest in all respects. The labs are equipped with the latest equipments. One will get a lot of exposure to industries, various experiments happening all around the globe. The mech department is the biggest of all with 66 faculty. The Mech dept. also has an incubation cell. The placements in the Mechanical department is about 79.67%. The average salary is around 12 LPA CTC in Mech dept. The highest salary can go upto Rs.32 lakh

See preparatory course is different from regular courses offered in IITs and the seats for this course are allotted through JOSAA Counselling only. Now if we talk about commencement of classes for this course so for this year most probably classes will start in online mode and session for IITs has been started from November 1st due to COVID-19. In some places the colleges shall be opened within upcoming week by keeping COVID-19 Guidelines in mind.

Dear Aspirant, all the institutions you mentioned are top IITs. Irrespective of the branch they have excellent placement records and extremely talented faculties. Coming to the question of branch, it should depend on your choice that what you prefer doing, in which field your interest lies, what jobs you want to prefer.

Every IIT has its own speciality. IIT Madras electrical engineering department is best. Mechanical in Kanpur, CSE and ECE in IIt bhu.

I would suggest select the branch in specific instead of IIT because on an average top most package and offers are grabbed by CSE, ECE, IT. Chemical engineering department is good for both Madras and Kanpur. Choose as per your interest and preference. All the best.

HSEE 2020 Merit List

Based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination, the merit list of HSEE 2020 has been released. Candidates may note that a separate HSEE 2020 merit list is prepared for each of the categories - General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PWD. A common rank list of HSEE 2020 is made including those who will score at least 50% marks in the entrance examination. Candidates belonging to general/EWS category have to score at least 45 per cent to qualify the HSEE 2020 exam. For OBC-NCL category candidates are required to score at least 40.5 per cent to qualify HSEE 2020. Aspirants belonging to SC/ST/PwD category need to acquire more than 22.5 per cent to get featured in the HSEE 2020 rank list.

Candidates are required to clear the cut off of HSEE 2020 in order to appear in the merit list and rank list. IIT Madras will be determining HSEE 2020 cutoff for shortlisting candidates on the basis of their entrance examination scores.
